This place isn't even open anymore. I attempted to come here two days in a row and they weren't open either day. I eventually went to The Brewery LBK (which I will also be reviewing shortly) for a few beers and confirmed with employees that The Coffee Shop is no more. It would be great if the company that operates all of the businesses in this group would update info about this online and put up some sort of sign to let people know.

The turmeric latte is very good! Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Be sure to note their hours. 7:30 to 4:00. I came later one day and they were closed.

Excellent coffee and good food selection. Knocked off 1 star because no low-fat or no fat milk selection for lattes. The only alternative for milk is almond- no oat or soy milk. Good, friendly service.

Friendly barista. Cozy atmosphere. Simple menu. Comfortable space. Hazelnut latte extra sweet was absolutely delicious!

Rose latte is so pretty. The fact that the barista went out of her way to help me celebrate my friends birthday with cake and candle from the west table makes this place from now on occupy a special place in my heart.

I was traveling through Lubbock and decided to check out the desolate streets of downtown. I stumbled on the coffee shop and was very unimpressed by the pretentious atmosphere given off by the decor and the other customers. This being said, I was warmly greeted by a wonderful barista named Marissa. She made my coffee and my day. It’s a shame that I have to keep moving on, because despite how unimpressed I was with the coffee shop’s atmosphere, the friendly and genuine nature of the barista would have made the coffee shop my go to spot.

Cool space, but I did not feel very welcomed by the barista, I had very high expectations going in, but I was not impressed with my drink. Perhaps just an off day...

Saturday and Sunday mornings are made for coffee houses and Lubbock is prime market for needing good ones (see how busy J&B is if you dont believe me). I'm a pretty simple coffee person (I like it black) so this review isnt about the coffee itself, it's about the business side. week 1, we google hours and show up when facebook, google, and the coffee house door lists its opening time (9am). they arent open. several others come by to try to go but encounter the same problem and leave. we do too. we tried to call throughout the day to check hours but cant get an answer. eventually (several days later) we get in touch with the west table (same owners run it) and they tell us the coffee shop opens at 930 week 2, show up at 9:55 and the outside door is locked. We see someone inside so we walk around to come from inside the building. she ignores us as we walk up to the counter. She explains they dont open to 10 so that's why she didnt greet us. Ok, so she opens and we order. The card machine doesnt work so she cant take cards. We ask about the hours and she says she cant do anything about the hours being posted wrong and that it was changed on Instagram. She says she doesnt know why anyone would tell us 930 and that she "cant do anything" about the hours being wrong elsewhere. Such a pity. It's cute, quiet, and away from campus crowds. oh, and they dont have anything besides whole milk for coffee (really? not even skim?? is this the motel 6 or a coffee shop?)

I try my best to get to The Coffee Shop every morning on my way to work. The coffee is worth driving a little out of the way. Yum!

I really, really wanted to try this. ....unfortunately was not open Sunday 9/22 by 9:20, with no sign of anyone inside. :(

I'm staying in Lubbock for a few days, and know nothing of the area, so I decided to visit The Coffee shop. I immediately fell in love with the interior of both the coffee shop and the adjoining business; especially the black tile floors which my barista Marissa, who had an impressive knowledge of the history in downtown Lubbock, explained that they were the original tiles placed. It was a much appreciated touch to the already thoughtful making of my macchiato. I intend on visiting again if I ever find myself in an unexpectedly passionate area with a developing sense of progress.
