We’ve eaten here many times over the years and I’m always stunned when we have really poor service. Wait staff that’s rude, incompetent and/or ignorant of the food being served is unforgivable at these prices. And when you end up with the wrong dishes for your diet because your waitress can’t be bothered to find out how the food is prepped, or a waiter yanks a drink menu from your hand while you’re trying to order, in order to give it to another table, well you just say screw it. There are other options.

the service here was absolutely horrible. they were argumentative and rude, as well as very judge mental. besides the horrible service, the fish was bland and unflavored. i went to mcdonald’s after this horrible meal

My husband, myself and our son came up early in the day to attend a TT football game. We made a reservation thinking it would be slammed by the reviews I read. They opened at 5.. our reservation was at 5 so we could get to the game by 6.. ok.. THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO SPOT!!! The restaurant is in a tiny little center that has lots of charm. We walked in and the ambiance was so beautiful, artsy, trendy and fresh. Our server, Abby who was amazing was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the dishes. The place was empty.. (we were shocked). But Abby told us it’s always quiet on a football game night.. (Go on a game night!!! Lol) The menu was incredible and innovative you could tell the chef was very creative. The crispy Brussel sprouts were honestly some of the best I’ve had!! The green Chile chicken bisque was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! .. pulled Quail empanadas.. terrific.. Duck confit fries were light and airy and unbelievably delicious.. our entrees we shared .. the Tequila brined pork chop that everyone raves about Did not disappoint!! Oh! And the side of roasted squash Mac n cheese fritter was insane!!! We live in Dallas people!! We have great restaurants everywhere!.. this was the best pork chop we had ever had!!!! Then the roasted Elk chops with Swiss chard and vegan harissa hummus with grilled sour dough bread was fabulous! And the specialty drink menu was creative and tasty!! We had the Margarita De La Casa with cinnamon rim. Delish!! This menu was something you would expect visiting Jackson Hole, Aspen or any resort area for that matter!! We will be back for sure!! Not to mention it was 3-4 mins from the stadium. How I stumbled on this place is a wonderful mystery but please!! Don’t miss out!! It’s a foodie’s paradise and worth every penny!!! Bravo!

We chose La Sirena as our dinner destination, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. From reading other reviews, we knew that it was a little hidden gem in Lubbock, and we were excited to give it a try. Being a Wednesday night, we were hoping we could get in with no reservation, and it was no problem- we were seated right away. However, once we were seated we realized how loud it was in the restaurant. Our server came over to introduce himself and take our drink orders, and basically had to be within inches of us to heard, or to hear us. We were unable to carry on a conversation at dinner because of the noise (we were in the smaller section of the restaurant, and that section was full). However, once our food came out, it made the noise worth it. The food was outstanding! I had the Vegan Enchiladas, and I didn't want it to end. We did skip drinks and desserts because of the noise. We will definitely come back, but we will request to be sat on the patio.

Why haven’t I discovered sooner??? Are you kidden me? Fantastic atmosphere and better service but the most surprising — Food and drink cocktails were off the chart!!! Exceptionally fantastic! Truly a great experience. Appetizer of Poblano fries and chips salsa - great. Tequila mermaids water equally great. Pork chop, out of this world. Salmon dish spectacular with the Brussels sprouts?? Shut the door... sooo good. Filet with poblano was ridiculous. We finished w coffee, cream and cinnamon something something tequila! You will crave it. Go enjoy - truly a gem in Lubbock. Ohhhh and our server was spectacular. Nicely done by all.

Best food I’ve eaten in Lubbock!! Nice to have this quality- enjoyed every bite! Salads fresh and delicious, charred Brussel sprouts were amazing, shredded chicken taco- type bowl was wonderfully prepared- the 3 salsa and chips were worth the price! Desserts, especially the key lime pie was fantastic. I had the Paloma martini, five stars.... go if you can afford it. I hope this gem continues to thrive in Lubbock. More chefs who understand fine food are needed in this town. It’s my place to go whenever I’m in town!!!

I've heard about this place for years and my wife and I went last night. We were meeting a group of 6, and only 2 were seated. They would not seat us unless the entire party was there, and the bar was full, so instead of allowing us to buy drinks at the table, we sat on a couch. We were seated finally, nice table, and the service/food were excellent, but man, they over charged. I asked for croutons: over 2 dollars. I asked for extra dressing for the salad, over two dollars. Our entire bill was something like 140 dollars. I had diver scallops--terrific, but only 3 and salad for 32 dollars, four dollars more for croutons and extra dressing. My wife had pork, also fine, but not worth the price. And I have to question the price and the seating policy. We won't return. Just not friendly enough. And VERY pretentious.

We read the reviews for this place and thought we should try it. Big mistake this had to be the worst food I have eaten in years. The service was good but if you want good food go somewhere else.
