Great little homestyle country place. Excellent chicken fried steak and lima beans. Generous portions for breakfast too. Home fries were slightly too greasy. Waitress was friendly. Overall, great experience!

The Veggie omelet was perfect. The service was superb. It was assumed to be good because there was no empty table in the restaurant when I arrived. The servers, host, and cooks definitely worked together to turn the tables quickly without affecting the quality of food and customer service. I was in and out with a full stomach after a great breakfast.

Awesome chicken fried steak.Well, gotta change my rating.This kinda tripped me out. I'm all about conserving, not wasting especially at home but at a restaurant...not so much.Saw the person cleaning tables examining the napkins left on the table.The one's that appeared dirty he trashed the ones that didn't looked use he checked them out front and back and put them into another stack that I ASSUME will be sent out to be used again.First time I've ever seen that..The food is always great but I'm not too sure about using napkins that has possibly been touched by someone with covid.DANG...now a waitresses just rubbed her nose like crazy and continued gathering food without washing..I'm sure it goes on all the time bit like the saying "out of sight out of mind" lol but seeing it....freaking NASTY

Came to town from out of state. My friend wanted to make sure we got real Texas BBQ. Was not disappointed. Everything was so good. I never bother ordering ribs when dining out, to chewy. But here I was sorry I didn't order more. I hope I can come back someday.

After reading other reviews I was excited to try Lone Star Charlie's. What a mistake!The food is typical breakfast fare, nothing interesting about it. Quite frankly, Denny's has a much more extensive menu. The sausage was overcooked and hard. Eggs were almost done, just a little raw floating around. Grits were underwhelming, and toast takes an extra 20 minutes.The service was horrible. The waitress was not friendly at all, unless you're a regular. The final straw was when she brought my ticket and just shoved it in my face while saying "here."When I pulled in here last night I wondered why yall are trying to run a restaurant in a truckstop while only being open a few hours a day. Now I know. With any luck, this place will be closed in 6 months.The fellow at the check-out seemed to care, so you got a 2nd star.
