Lovely staff, food was good, clean bur hard to find location. There is no sign outside and they share space with KB chicken. Also no pork meats are served at this location.

This location has both KBs and Dickey'sDicky's 2 meat platter - it's definitely a middle of the road BBQ. The brisket was nice and fatty and would melt well, but it tasted a bit bland without sauce. Needed better seasoning. The sausage tasted like store bought hot dog. Mac and cheese and fries were decent. 3 stars.Texas toast sando - one of the better hot chicken sandwiches of the many that have opened up in the last few years. Got the mild which still has a bit of a kick (I am weak). Good flavor overall! Slaw and sauce give it a crunch. Bread is toasted well. 5 stars.

I ordered a 2 meat plate. Lean beef and sausage. I got fatty meat and the sausage was wiener, not a real sausage. The plate is not worth $17. I Also I a loaded baked potato that was not loaded. All it was meat and cheese, nothing else on it.

Can improve customer service a lot. I ordered 2 ribs plate, while one of the ribs was perfect, cooked nicely tender and fall of the bone, the other one wasn't cooked properly - it was from a newer batch apparently. I could hardly pull it apart. Upon complaining and demonstrating (literally) the front desk guy took it to kitchen and came back that the guy who made it thinks this is okay and this is how it's supposed to be - mind you it was unchewable. He told me he could offer me a partial refund (but did nothing to make it look like he meant it), I asked if he could replace with another one and he replied he could replace it with a side. LOL. Never heard such absurdity in my life. And then never got back to offering a partial refund. For the price of 2 ribs, I could actually eat only 1, the other one I couldn't eat, it was so tough, no way those muscle fibers could be pulled apart. It was an expensive meal at $24+tax which was only half edible. Thank you for the great customer service, I'll find another place next time for my meat cravings. Good luck.

Been here twice, my second time I got a slice brisket sandwich the meat was slightly dry but overall it was delicious, my kids loved it! It’s worth a try

False and misleading advertising.I recently visited this Sugarland Dickey's, listed on the Dickey's app. Despite their presence on the app and displaying the Dickey's logo inside the restaurant.When I tried to avail of the advertised deals, I was informed by the staff that they do not participate in honoring the promotions listed on the app.

I am from out of town and went to the website and ordered my meal. I was then contacted by door dash that they were at the restaurant taking care of my order. I then received a call from door dash support saying the restaurant couldn’t find my order and cancelled my delivery. I then called the restaurant who told me that because I ordered online and there is some sort of spat between owners, they are not fulfilling orders placed online, even though when I called, they are representing themselves as Dickey’s BBQ Pit. Then the final kicker was the person on the phone said, they can’t guarantee I will get a refund, which I have not gotten up to this point. I don’t care if you’re having internal spats, you took my money, represent yourself as the restaurant listed and took my money!!! This is beyond unethical and I would tell anyone who asks, not to eat here, they stole my money and told me to basically f-off, I can’t even imagine the care and love they must put into their food…FYI, KBS Hot Chicken is the same place!!!

The BBQ is great, but the portion sizes vary at each visit. Some days you’ll have a large serving of fries and enough BBQ sauce and the other days it will be a small handful and one serving of BBQ sauce with their two meat plate. Not sure if it depends on who’s making the order, but the consistency is lacking.

OK, this review is for Dickey's Barbecue, not the KB Chicken it is housed in.I wished to have dinner out with my honey. So, in looking through online deals, coupons and emails from restaurants I have signed up to receive deals from, I chose Dickey's Barbecue Pit. We had not eaten at one in a while as the closest to us have closed down. The location in Sugarland on Hwy 6 showed as the closest at 14.6 miles although we had not eaten there before.First of all, the sign for Dickey's is maybe 12" and on the door which is behind the outdoor dining area so very difficult to see. We passed it by and had to come back around after checking the directions again. There should be a notification on the website that this version of Dickey's is inside another restaurant, NOT a Dickey's in itself.I had placed our order online using my PC to be ready at 8 pm as we were heading to another place for karaoke afterward. We arrived about 20 min after 8 pm expecting the order to be waiting for us. When I approached the counter, the worker denied having received our order. He ended up calling the manager over. Both people were nice, but insistent that they had not received our order.I tried finding the order on the website on my phone, but received an error message several times. I tried finding the order receipt in my email with no success, then showed the manager my Paypal receipt. However, it was not detailed as to what the order was and he questioned that I placed the order for his restaurant.The manager gave me a Dallas corporate number to call, or so he thought. The person who answered was abrupt and said that they were not Dickey's Barbecue but did work for them. They were no help at all and the second number that I received from the manager went straight to a voice mail. I then checked my email again to try to find the order receipt. I was able to find it that time. So, I then was told that they never carried one of the sides I had ordered, I chose another. Then was informed they did not carry the soft drink I wanted.It was after 9 pm before we received the order at our table. The food was good, however, they had put the wrong sauce. I however realize the screen of my phone is fairly small for them to have seen that detail.The trouble we had to go to to get the food was just not worth it.I hold Dickey's responsible for not making sure this location was easier to find, had all of the items they offered on their menu when I chose this location online, and that there was a protocol in place for situations like this. Totally frustrating!
