We waited 20 minutes before someone came to our table. Service was very slow. Slim girl with ponytail stayed surfing on her phone while other employees doing all the work. We noticed the time before. Very unorganized.

I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. The owner is so nice, the food was great, and we never felt rushed. Definitely will go again. Even though I gave it 5 stars there is one woman working there that really needs to smile more. I think it might make her day go by quicker ?

Amazing service. We had my daughters 4th birthday party here and she loved it. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she had the best time at her tea party. The food was really good and the tea was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

The food was good and the cashier that attended to us was kind however we did not feel welcomed there. The “so called manager” who was sitting at the front desk with some friends and a dog (which is was another negative for me) asked in an awkward way “can I help you?” while we where sitting waiting for our order. Did she think we were just there to hang out? I was curious as to why she would ask the only “African-Americans” sitting at the table that question. I felt uncomfortable and will not be returning. There are many other places where I can freely spend my money without feeling like I’m in the Jim Crow era.

Ever since my family got relocated to the Woodlands in 2016, I have been enjoying this tea room often for various reasons: its lovely, unique and cozy ambience, carefully and daily prepared fresh baked goods and delicious brunch menu, beautiful outdoor seatings, and the friendly owner who takes care of her restaurant with passion and proud. It's truly a gem of the Woodlands! Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful restaurant inside and out. It is serene and clean. Their food is delicious! I entered once when they were closed not realizing it, but the owner was happy to serve what she had which happened to be something I wanted to try. The blueberry scone is amazing, and you can request the cream and jam. I am looking forward to trying afternoon tea. One of my favorite places. Enjoy!Parking: There is plenty of parking as the lot is for a plaza. Enjoy!

Drove 40 minutes to have their Saturday brunch. Showed up at 11:20, they close at noon. There was 1 seated table and 2 ladies bringing in gifts and setting up for a baby shower that took up 2 large tables. There were still 1/2 dozen tables available. Was told if we wanted to eat, we’d have to eat outside (it was 100 degrees outside with no shade) because they were setting up for a shower at noon - again 40 minutes from then and we were well within their open hours and there were tons of tables a good distance from where they were setting up. Said we would just come back some other time (not really but being polite) and asked to see a menu for next time. Was met with rude responses. Asked about the brunch and was told it was by reservation, only, anyway. ( though it’s advertised on their website and no reservations note is listed.) Will not come back.

Darling decor, completely devoid of service today, June 24, was first time in. I stood at the counter, in front of all of the employees and I assume the owner for at least 3 minutes. No one acknowledged me. No eye contact. No words spoken. Nothing. It wasn’t busy. 2 2-tops and 1 solo guest. At least 3 employees and I assume the owner at the counter at the register. She was going through receipts and was using a calculator. One employees was just standing there doing nothing. No one said hello. How are you. Be right with you. The owner finally looked when I said” do you want a customer or not?” I am not sure what she said but it wasn’t something like “I am so sorry” I said no no you lost me forever. In this competitive world this complete lack of care for customers is disgraceful and bad comedy. Take your precious business someplace else!

My mother and I had a very lovely afternoon tea here. The food was delicious, and they were accommodating of a dairy restriction. Atmosphere is adorable, cozy and comfortable. I have been here before for afternoon tea and quite enjoyed it, but i remember paying closer to $35/person. I didn't think to check if the prices had substantially changed, but they have increased to $65/person. The St. Regis' more formal afternoon tea is only $59/person, so this price for a more casual tea experience is a bit too high for me. It's my fault for not checking first, but in the future we will book the St Regis for a more formal experience, or the Tea Kettle Cafe in Spring ($33/person) for a more laid back afternoon tea. Lovely meal though, so if you are comfortable with the price it's worth checking out for a tea experience!Dietary restrictions: Accommodating with a dairy restriction. They didn't provide an alternate option, but they removed or omitted the dairy from the existing selection.

This is one of the best and most special, unique places in The Woodlands. It is also known as one of the very best places for afternoon tea in the entire Houston area! The tea sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream and jam and variety of sweets are all made from scratch daily. The ingredients are fresh, and the teas served at Hummingbird are phenomenal. They have more varieties of teas from all over the world than I have seen offered anywhere else that serves afternoon tea. It’s also a great place for a ladies lunch. Their bakery items are beautiful and delicious. The owner is a very kind, knowledgeable lady who walks around and greets people while they are eating. I’ll be moving away from The Woodlands soon, but I will make sure to visit Hummingbird for lunch or afternoon tea every time I come back!

My friends and I love to frequent the Tea Room for birthdays and special occasions. The place itself petite and sweet, with aesthetic interior decor! I’d recommend reserving a spot because the afternoons can get busy, even on weekdays. The food is always fresh and complements their tea selection - the Strawberry Salad is one to remember. Our picks for the teas would be the Orchid Oolong and White Peach. Make sure to taste their pastries too!
