First and last time in this place. The food look good but the taste wasn’t pleasant.I had steak the egg and the egg was cold and the steak didn’t have any flavor. Also I order a single waffle and wasn’t cook the first bite I had I could feel the un cooked batter ( no a good experience)

I really wish I could give this place more than five stars. The food was outstanding. I went in with a five person party and we all ordered different dishes EVERY SINGLE THING was good. Well, the macaroni and cheese was a little plain and runny, but other than that all other food was amazing. The blackened eyed peas were fixed to southern style perfection. As well as the cabbage that burst with flavor as soon as it hits your tongue. Pancakes are fluffy and perfectly flipped, the French toast was superbly done. Everything is seasoned just right. I could go on and on an out the food but I will just say try this place out and whatever you order, you will be delighted. We were served by Heather who was attentive, efficient, and very friendly. She provided great service. The atmosphere is nice inside the restaurant, very clean, and inviting. Great for business lunches, after church supper, or family dinner. The prices are on par for your normal soul food places. We paid about $120 dollars for five meals and two to go orders. It was worth every penny though. If you’re on the search for a place to eat in Mansfield, look no further, would definitely recommend The Porch!

I don’t normally give anything 5-Stars just because I figure that we all always have room for a little improvement, but I have to say that I did everything except lick my plate clean. I had the one piece of fish and fries, which was so good that I had a 2nd piece of fish added on. The fries were thick but still crispy and almost hot enough to burn you which is how I like them and the fish was the same. Seasoned well and absolutely delicious. The fish was also light and flaky the way it should be & the breading was spot on (not too much or too little & cooked all the way through). The hush puppy had a pleasant little surprise of jalapeño flavor & all being said I’ll definitely come back. I paid my compliments to the Chef and also my server Angelina who was quick and efficient. (She was also very perky and attentive (which I normally don’t care for but with everything being so good and she promptly took care of everything I needed I actually enjoyed her demeanor).) I highly recommend that if you’re in the area to give them a try.
