The food was decent, waitstaff was clearly not wanting to be at work.Family of 5 having to ask for things several times and other people for limes, refills, tortillas, and the check.On the menu it says checks over $100/ or 6 people 18% gratuity will be added.Which would’ve been fine if we didn’t have 2 separate checks, both under $100. Also to be a family of 5 or have staff who was actually waiting on us. There was a MAYBE 3/4 other tables other than us. We had to ask several times for things.All the waitress could say is that the system was because they go off the table not ticket.Which to me seems a little off. Oh what world does someone not ask how many checks there are if you’re clearly not together.Will not be returning.

Stopped to have a couple of margaritas and sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice. We were surprised that she brought us chips, two different salsas and bean dip. Delicious! The mango margarita's were delicious!

Bar Matilda may have a good music selection, but it falls short in other areas. The drinks are overpriced and the owner/manager pulled a cheap trick with the price of a bottle of tequila. I ordered a bottle of a certain brand and agreed on the price, but when I ordered a second bottle of the same brand, the waitress said it was the last one and offered me another brand. I asked if it was the same price and she said yes. They gave me the other bottle, I opened it and started making drinks. After a few minutes, the waitress came back and said the price was incorrect and it was $50 more than what was agreed upon. I told her that they had told me otherwise and it should be respected. The manager came and focused only on the cost of the bottle, instead of taking responsibility for the mistake. He offered me a "good deal" for my next visit, but I made it clear that there will be no next time at this establishment. They pulled a cheap tactic on me and I had the money to pay for both bottles. I simply asked him to leave so I could finish my overpriced drinks. Save your money and go somewhere else where they do the right thing.

Went out to dinner with my wife, and this place did not disappoint. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The fajaita tacos and nacho ponchos with fajita were delicious. The fajita was soft and had great flavor. This place is a must try and a great place for date night. If you want some great cocktails, swing by next door to Matildas.

Nothing was home made. Flour tortillas were store bought. Kids nuggets looked like they were bought at HEB then deep fried here. Was very disappointed for the quality compared to the price. Very expensive would have been tastier eating at taco truck.

Food is great, service is great but the music is too load for being a restaurant, having to shout across the table or to your waiters it’s not the ideal place to sit for dinner with family and have a nice conversation. The matilde bar is right next door that having the music so loud is not necessary.
