Went to Marys Restaurant and it was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. There was a sign inside the restaurant that says “My food takes time, if you have time I have your food”. We waited patiently and it was worth the wait. We went again the next day but they close at 1pm on Sundays, will go again when we are in McAllen. We are from Houston ?

Stopped here for breakfast with my partner a few weeks ago. It was our first time. We ordered tacos and coffee. The coffee arrived promptly but we waited about 20 minutes for our tacos! While we waited I looked around and saw that there were only around 4 other tables with customers, so it’s not like the place was busy. I asked the waitress if it was going to be much longer and she said it would only be a little bit longer. The tacos finally arrived around 20 minutes after I ordered them. What annoyed me is that the waitress didn’t apologize for the food taking so long and when I went to pay at the counter the owner/manager also didn’t ask about our experience and no apology for our long wait. And to top it off the tacos were expensive in my opinion. Not worth the price or the hassle.

The service is great. The young lady is so kind. The food...FANTASTIC ? Everything is homemade. Both the corn & flour tortillas are homemade and delicious. We found our new place to eat when we come to town. Also, the coffee is nice and strong. Definitely 5 stars overall.

Love this place! It is my favorite breakfast place in McAllen. Whenever out of town guests appear, they must be taken to Mary's for breakfast. Personnel are great people. Food excellent. Atmosphere cozy. Personnel constantly circulating with coffee pot! Food reasonably priced. Friends took us there for a great breakfast! Combo plate with eggs, bacon, sausage, refritos, tortillas & great salsa!! Have eaten here 3 times this month!!

Nothing fancy just plain old good food like grandma used to make. Family owned and run. The tortillas were so good we wrapped up the ones we didn’t eat and brought them home. Can’t wait to go back and try their Barbacoa.
