Food was decent. Not great but not bad. Corona beer was 5.00 a bottle and there was no flour tortillas or potatoes. Very limited menu. Price is about what you would pay at Taco Palenque but not as good.

This place is horrible! I don't understand all of the good reviews for this location (which is why we tried it out in the first place). First of all my lemonade tasted like dirt, and there was an ant floating around in it which I didn't notice at first. My bistek tacos were super salty. I ordered a papa, and it was cold, not room temperature cold but fridge cold. The tacos al pastor were full of chunks of fat. We left most of our food on the table. We didn't complain about the food, just paid and left but we will never be returning here again.

Sheko's has great food , good music and it is also very clean. However we have been there and both times there has been hair in our food. The spoon in the papa had a hair and then halfway thru the beans there was a gray hair. Hoping this review helps address that issue because the food is delicious and I like to continue eating at Sheko's.

Amazing food and excellent service. Our server was super hospitable and recommended great options to us. I’m a vegetarian and he brought out a special soup for me. The prices were also really reasonable. Will definitely come again.

Great place,, the tacos are really good just like the ones you get in Brownsville (Shekos). the only thing that is different is the tortillas that they use are yellow corn which I have noticed is used a lot on this side of the valley. I have yet see a Taqueria use regular Corn tortillas.. There frijoles especiales are on point .. a must try I have tried other especiales here but not that great... staff is friendly and atmosphere is great to ..

Be patient with staff, they wear many hats. Place was clean and staff was very friendly. Once you get your food, you will not be disappointed. Everything was delicious. Go easy on the creamy green sauce. It is very delicious, but very hot too. This place has high ratings for a good reason. The tripas doradas taco was my favorite. I would order 5 of these for sure. I will definitely be eating there again when I return.

Really tasty tacos. The day after they catered a holiday lunch where I was working so I got a double dose. I will be back next time I get to Mc Allen.

Maybe we got there too late in the evening but sadly the corn tortillas, from our barbacoa tacos, had no flavor and were not as soft as when we order the flour ones. Other than that, the food was good, and the service was great.
