I love the pork belly tacos from here especially on Tuesdays when they're only $2. I use to come here a lot in the evenings to enjoy open mic nights but now I can't stay awake that late anymore ?. I highly recommend coming here on Tuesdays because they have $2 beer and tacos and they have entertainment starting from 8pm-2am. The staff are very friendly, the food is great and they have a great selection, and the vibes are always very chill and calm.

Went on Sunday for the late brunch to pick up some lobster rolls. FYI I've tried lobster rolls In Salem and Boston and these are right up there with those. The chips that came with them were excellent. Let's not forget to mention the service and awesome selection of beer. Will I be going back.... % H Yea.

This is the best cozy bar in the RGV due to atmosphere, selections of draft and bottled beer, cider, wine. Great food and great prices! Super cool staff! Very relaxed and welcoming! I love this place!

I go here regularly and the vegan options are delicious, in addition to the great beer selection. They have vegan versions of many of the entrees on the menu, including things like pancit noodle, for which they will give you fried tofu instead of meat, and also sub out the lumpia on the side for a vegan one. Brussels sprouts are delicious and probably my favorite thing on the menu.
Still one of my favorite dive in bar & grills in Downtown McAllen. Amazing food and fun events.

The Gremlin is a space far removed cheap pumps and dresses found in the clearance section at Ross. A block away from debauchery, it remains a safe haven for those who don't belong or connect with stobe lights and the two dollar beer scene.If you've ever walked into bar and immediately felt you didn't fit in, The Gremlin is the place for you. Every time I visit, I feel like I'm visiting a friends house. If your into LGBTQ causes / themed events, live music, craft beer, chill atmosphere, welcoming staff and GREAT FOOD!, visit The Gremlin down town on 16th. You won't regret it.

Tues 2/21/23 7pm- We normally don't visit downtown McAllen but decided to give this location a try. It's small inside but there is plenty of outdoor space outside. The location does give a bar type vibe; the inside is very charming. They had an event around 9-10 but unfortunately we couldn't stay. There is a small stage in the front and a bigger stage out back. It's a nice hangout spot.
