Who would have thought that a small stand could make excellent fried chicken. If you like fried chicken, you have... have.. to try this place. The seating is outdoors and a bit hot, but omg with it.

Hidden gem in the downtown McAllen area. Great snack foods and friendly service. Only reason I'm giving a 3 star on atmosphere is due to my personal dislike of eating outside, otherwise it's a fun place for lunch if you're in the area.

I absolutely love and completely recommend Toni Burger to anyone/everyone looking for an extremely delicious burger, the freshest and the juiciest fried chicken - that I have ever had! They do have other foods to offer - all of which I also highly recommend, and all of their prices are extremely affordable. In my opinion they are just too good to pass up. I consider Toni Burger a staple in McAllen history as they have been open and in the same location for as long as I can remember (which is well over 30 years!). The owner is very friendly, and caring, he is and always has been the order-taker/cashier/cook, his employees are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very comfortable and clean. Despite being an outdoor place, it is very well ventilated and clean. They do have restrooms, which are also very clean : for paying customers and employees only - of course - and the roof is completely covered, so no eating in the sun. Whether you're shopping downtown or you just have a craving for some delicious food, Toni Burger is the spot to look for! Unfortunately I have no photos to post right now (I was really hungry and the food is so good I finished everything before remembering to take photos!), but keep an eye out for my updates, hopefully next time I'll remember to take the photos before finishing my food! Lol! So for now, please take my word and give Toni Burger a try, I guarantee you will love it!

The chicken is delicious. Homemade taste and hot to order. Drinks come in 12oz can and are really cold. Served with a jalapeño. 2 number 4 orders was $112 piece with jalapeño and drink. Just look at that condensation on the can. You know it’s cold!
