Loved the location in downtown McKinney. Servers were kind and helpful. Flights were $20 for 5 tastings. Enjoyed some reds. The only issue is the "winery" label, which implies that they make some of their own wines; instead they import the wine. Not a huge dealbreaker; I would have gone somewhere more local if I'd have known. Didn't eat anything from the menu, but I saw several with the charcuterie boards, and they looked delicious. Decor was nice, and I liked that they had board & card games for patrons to use.

I do enjoy it when I come here BUT Hmmmmmmmmm. Yeahhhhh….its definitely good wine and it’s a cool space (downtown McKinney) but it somewhat feels like this company is asleep at the wheel. What are you guys really doing and aiming for - where’s the passion and fire! This is cool concept but don’t rest on past successes - this needs to keep getting better and it’s a bit stagnant now.

We love our time spent at Landon's! They were very accommodating to us when we had almost 30 women show up! They have a great wine selection!

Place has a ‘ feel’ of being closed for 6 months , and as though it was opened back up, needing a face lift and a deep cleaning. Service is rather McDonaldsish at best. Unwelcoming, uninviting person running it, whom had an assuming , ungracious, way about her, which in present climate, when businesses are slower seems not only classless , but unwise, if you’re hoping to succeed!Tip- bring the sunshine in, so to speak) with attitudes and decor!Literally let some light in - have it smelling good , and looking pleasant and well kept, like someone cares.Place has potential, flatbread pretty good, and wine pretty good.****pressure washing front patio, and better cleaning of tables, and maybe a lil fall touch ( not to overdone) to liven things up.Details, details, details!!!!I’ll mail you an invoice for the consult?

This is a help yourself winery. Bar staff was not helpful. Did not introduce you to their wine selection. We were doing a tasting and had to go in and out to get our tastings. We also noticed no was clearing tables.

My husband, daughter and I went to the Landon Winery McKinney last Saturday, during which time I picked up my wine for the wine club. We also sat and shared two bottles of wine, Raspberry, and Red Rose. I literally had no idea I would be charged an additional $10.00 for each bottle simply because they were opened for us, and we drank them there. My daughter and I carried the three wine glasses and two bottles of wine to our table ourselves. The extra charge is ridiculous. Before I went to the winery, I looked at the two bottles on the website and they reflect $18.00 each. If I had known I would be charged an additional $10.00 for each bottle, I would have taken the two bottles with me and drank them at home. Nobody bothered to tell me there was an additional $10.00 charge for each bottle. AND I WAS NOT SHOWN A MENU. This really makes me angry. I will never go to another Landon Winery again. The two charges Saturday were $41.14 for my wine club pickup. All good. The other charge was for $50.24 for the two bottles I drank at the winery, I looked at my bank statement, and instead of $50.24, the charge was then $61.29. What in the heck was the extra $11.05 for?I spoke with the manager this morning, and she was a little condescending.I asked her what the additional $10.00 to drink a bottle of wine was for. She said they have to go prices and drink the wine there prices. Something about a discount to take the wine with you and share with your friends. I told her I was not advised about it, and she said, "Well, it's on the menu." I told her I was not shown a menu. She then said, "Well."What? What does "Well" mean? She also said I was wine club member before, and I had deactivated it. I then told her I knew. That is my right. She then said, "You don't have to worry about being a wine club member again." Seriously? Not nice.I spoke with two Wine Sommelier's, and they both told me they had never heard of this. If I brought wine in and drank it, there is typically a corkage fee, but not if you purchase it there and drink it there. This is literally equivalent to going to a restaurant and ordering a meal, and the restaurant charges you an additional $10.00 to eat it there. This was all both a frustrating and ridiculous experience.Needless to say, I deactivated my wine club membership...AGAIN.

The wine is undrinkable, almost like it is sour or rancid and they were NOT happy to swap it out for another option. They all tasted like gasoline and I will drink just about anything. The staff was kind of friendly, they definitely did the bare minimum and the outdoor space was nice. I have wanted to go for quite some time since it was such a cute location with the patio but the wine was so atrocious we will not be back unfortunately.

Great little spot on corner in downtown McKinney. We go on a lot of Wednesdays for “Wine Down Wednesday”. Great patio and people watching and easy to order a pizza from Cadillac Pizza a short walk away and eat it with your wine on the patio. Fun spot, great people watching and good wine!

I wanted to do something spontaneous today plus I needed to pick up my wine from the wine club so we decided to stay and have a drink! I had a glass of Riesling & my partner had the Peach Sangria! Both were sooo good! Thankfully it wasn't too hot and we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the view! The server was attentive and personable. We walked in and were served immediately!! It was a good time!!

During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Rhonda, a delightful server who made my experience truly memorable.Landon Winery has a fascinating history that adds to its charm. Established several years ago, it has become a beloved destination for wine enthusiasts and visitors alike. The winery is situated in a beautifully designed space, adorned with wooden decor and captivating art pieces. The rustic yet elegant atmosphere creates a perfect setting for indulging in the world of wines. One of the standout features of Landon Winery is its impressive variety of wines. With a wide range of options to choose from, there is something to suit every palate. During my visit, I had the opportunity to try a few exceptional wines, and I was particularly captivated by three selections: Tempranillo, Amarone, and Roussane & Marsanne. Each of these wines offered a unique and delightful tasting experience, showcasing the winery's dedication to crafting high-quality vintages. The Tempranillo was a true delight, with its bold and robust flavors that lingered on the palate. Its rich and fruity notes were perfectly balanced, making it a standout wine. Amarone, on the other hand, provided a more complex and sophisticated experience. Its deep red color and intense aroma set the stage for a full-bodied tasting journey, filled with layers of dark fruits and a hint of spice. Lastly, the blend of Roussane & Marsanne was a revelation. It's crisp acidity and floral undertones created a refreshing and harmonious combination, leaving me longing for more.Aside from the exceptional wines, Landon Winery also offers a delectable menu to complement the tasting experience. During my visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in their molten chocolate lava cake. Let me tell you, it was an absolute masterpiece! The cake was moist and decadent, with a rich chocolate center that oozed with each spoonful. It was truly a culinary delight, and I can confidently say that it was the best-molten chocolate lava cake I have ever had. From its rich history to the warm hospitality provided by servers like Rhonda, every aspect of the winery creates an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere. The wide selection of wines, including the standout choices of Tempranillo, Amarone, and Roussane & Marsanne, showcases the winery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. And let's not forget the incredible molten chocolate lava cake, which is a true culinary masterpiece. So, if you find yourself in McKinney, make sure to visit Landon Winery for an unforgettable wine adventure that will leave you craving more.
