Decided to come in for a peaceful lunch by myself today. There were 2 ladies that helped me. One took my order and the other one brought me my food. Both ladies were very sweet. They both had genuine smiles and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I ordered the BLT croissant and the chicken tortilla soup per the server’s recommendation. Food was delicious. I will definitely be back.

The wife and I made reservations (highly recommended) for Sunday brunch at Zin Zen Wine and Bistro, located in McKinney, TX. When we arrived the parking was a little concerning, since Zin Zen is located in a fairly crowded area. We were able to find a parking spot and headed in to see what they had to offer. I can imagine if it wasn't Sunday afternoon but rather Friday or Saturday evening, it might be difficult to find parking. Since we made a reservation, they had a table waiting for us with our name on it. A nice touch. Off to a great start. You would be surprised how many places we make reservations for that don't seat us immediately, even though we arrived promptly at our reserved time. After setting down, a waitress was quick to provide menus and offer suggestions. She was friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. Zin Zen has a good selection of food, just keep in mind that it's a wine and bistro, not Chillies. I ordered a mimosa (I know, that's not wine) with brunch eggs and bacon. The wife ordered a salad with steak and a Bloody Mary. Both meals were excellent and the Bloody Mary was good too, according to my wife. We decided to purchase dessert and once again, the waitress was happy to suggest the best options. We ended up ordering the Black and White Crème Brûlée (see picture), which was excellent. Parking: 3/5 - Be ready to search for parking if you come on the wrong day and time. Food: 5/5 - The menu was exactly what you expect for a bistro. The eggs (sunny side up) were great and the beacon was terrific. To be fair, it's hard to make bad eggs and beacon but the presentation was on point. Atmosphere: 4/5 - Zin Zen is exactly what it should be. It's wine first. There's plenty of space and a patio if you would prefer to be outside. The dining room has a little echo, but not bad. They have live music on the weekends so if you enjoy that, plan accordingly. There was no music during our brunch obviously, so I can't speak to what the atmosphere would be like with music playing. The dining area isn't big. Service: 5/5 - The waitress was excellent. She was attentive enough without being overly so. She had recommendations when we asked, but wasn't making unnecessary suggestions. She was friendly and had a smile every time we interacted with her. Overall: 4/5 - Zin Zen is a very nice wine and bistro. They have a great selection of wines and plenty of food options to go along with it. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect; cozy but open. Just make sure you make a reservation, and arrive early enough to make sure you can find a parking spot.

We went to this restaurant at 6:50 the sign in front said please seat yourself we sat at table the server took our order for drinks appetizers food and dessert and at 7:30 they asked us to leave the table they had reservations at 7pm so they want us finish all our food in rush and leave that is rude and ridiculous they should not have seated us or taken our order if they were full. That’s rude service. Before seating the guest please mention there is time limit at this place. They ruined our evening. And what is sign at front for “Please seat yourself “ it should say “ Seated by reservations only”

Nice alternative to Crue wine bar. More casual and lots of 40-60 year old patrons that might be resident the Village. Service was extremely accomodating. Saturday evening is PACKED! And we learned you should definitely reserve your spot a few days ahead. You can't call or reserve seating at the online schedule the day of. Live music is popular in the evenings here. It isn't our thing due to sensitive hearing. It's a concrete floor, and you can't converse during that time unless you sit in the area by the wine lockers. Those are reserved quickly. Nice flights of wine, and we discovered a terrific new chardonnay. The menu was varied and tasty. Enjoyed the maple bourbon breadpudding . Next time, we'll order the 'create your own charcuterie board.' I understand those are great for take out and far less expensive than other renowned charcuterie restaurants.Kid-friendliness: Definitely saw kids as young as 4 years from 7 to 9 pm. Looked like they were there to celebrate adult relative birthday.

We love relaxing at ZZ in the weekends. I wish they'd do a little more cover bands and a little less jazz but the food, service, drinks, and atmosphere are great!

Located in gorgeous Adriatica Mckinney, Zin Zen Wine Bistro has a harmonious, cozy and comfortable atmosphere to spend a pleasant time tasting a good selection of wines and/or cocktails. The menu is not bad and the staff's attention to the costumers is friendly. Looks clean, nice.

A very good spot for a birthday! The wife and I really enjoyed our time! Our waiter was very polite and helpful! The Christmas wine (seasonal) was delicious!Kid-friendliness: This place isn't a bad place to bring children. However, alcohol is served here. Also, they may not appreciate the menu: they might need coaching

If you live in McKinney and you’ve never visited Zin Zen Wine Bistro you’re missing out on experiencing one of its best kept secrets.Food: I don’t eat pizza but can easily enjoy their margarita flatbread.Drinks: I’m a wino so can’t go wrong with their selections of Malbec or Red Zin.Music: Over the years I’ve enjoyed many bands and will even be among the first to get the crowd dancing. My favorites include Acoustically Speaking (with Alex) and Zack King! But, last night I enjoyed rocking out with a band called Love Handle!!Zin Zen is located in the beautiful Adriatica area of McKinney. Some nights it’s a full house and others not so much. Either way, it’s worth a visit!
