We stopped for lunch here on a road trip, and it was great! The kids loved their burgers, and our LLC Club Sandwich was really good. They have a Coke fountain and also make Blue Bell ice cream shakes. My kind of atmosphere - laid back home-town.

Busy little place; lots of customers. We had BLT sandwiches - one with french fries and one with onion rings. Onion rings were cold and oversalted. The french fries and the sandwiches were good. Service could be improved. We sat down at a table, and the table next to us were served their food. At no time did the staff advise we needed to go to the counter to put in our order. We figured it out ourselves after sitting there for a while. Then, when we were ready to leave, my husband went to the front to get a takeaway box. While my husband waited for service, one of the staff was waving a cleaning cloth and dancing to the music entertaining a baby, which was either her child or a friend's. Although she glanced around the cafe, she didn't go help him or let him know someone would be with him shortly. I saw a lot of the locals go here based on how they acknowledged each other, but other customers should have at least the same level of customer service.

I was there before 11 and they opened up a little early. I had the cornbeef and cabbage soup and it was delicious. Generous portion size for the bowl of soup.

I live in Menard and go to Lazy Ladle every Monday for their Fried Chicken dinner. It is the best. Their other menu items are solid and it's a great place for a lunch sandwich/salad or a hearty breakfast. They also have hand dipped and soft serve ice cream and homemade desserts.

Come on in to the Lazy Ladle! This cafe is local to Maynard Tx and is known for their good down home cooking! Sandwiches are a favorite of this spot! Try a club or even one of their burgers meals! The hubby and I split the chicken fried steak, Salad ( with homemaid ranch) combo greens, and mashed potatoes! Yum. Pretty big steak at a great price! Their ice cream is bluebell and they have vanilla soft serve too! Come on in and support this local place!! I'd say they are anything but lazy-- from the taste of it! ?

Traveling for hours through the back country roads this is the place to stop because it has the word cafe in it, But I will NEVER recommend this place because you wait over a hour for a simple breakfast meals such as pancakes or tacos,you have to serve your own coffee, and people had to ask over 5+ times for coffee because that's how long we had to wait. Even one of the customers Had to grab the filter put the powder and put it in the machine making her own coffee because she had asked for twice and no one even refilled the coffee within a timespan of 20 minutes. The teen waitress has a huge attitude,rolls her eyes and fakes forgetting so you go up to the counter and ask countless times to save a walk for her because she wants to be on her phone like cmon. Are you serious. If u want a paycheck, you gotta work for it? But honestly, what can you expect when it has the word lazy in it.
