I had the supreme combination, takeout. It was very busy for a Friday at 5:00 PM, but my order was ready when they said it would be. The young man handing it to me made sure I had utensils, napkins, Parmesan cheese and red pepper and asked if there was anything else I might need. The staff was helpful and provided good service, and the pizza was dang tasty.

Formacio's Pizzeria is a wonderful place to visit for just one person or the whole family. The pizzas are huge for the price and are very delicious.
I just found out about this hidden gem about 5 months ago and it never disappoints. From the food to the staff everything is great. Great environment with great energy. The food is some of the best flavor food I have had and it’s cheap. I started off with a pizza and have now even gotten items I had never ate before. Thank you and I will continue to support this great place.

The restaurant has gone drastically down hill in the last couple of years. Have not seen the owner in a long while. Almost looks like he has lost interest in his establishment. What once was good food at a great price is now overpriced mediocre food. Almost self serve with very little help from the staff. If you have a complaint it is met with excuses and not answers. If the downhill run continues it will be another RGV restaurant casualty.

The Texas pizza is huge. It’s fun to watch them throw the pizza dough while making it.
First time coming here the soup we ordered tasted like tap water, stromboli was delicious and so was shrimp ala vodka. The service is ok.The second time we stopped by however, our pizza was extremely salty no one could finish it. the shrimp with vegetables was the worst thing I've ever ordered at at restaurant. The sauce was extremely watery with hardly any flavor and the vegetables were the frozen Normandy kind that comes with tons of broccoli stems and no florets. I couldn't even finish it. I really had high hopes for this place but we won't be back again.
As always, great food and great service. It's worth the trip from McAllen to Mercedes, Texas.

The service was wonderful, very polite and kind young people (well they looked young me). The pizza was deliciosos! We enjoyed the Sicilian with ground beef, veggies and extra sauce.... It was even good after we froze and reheated the leftovers
