May have at one time been a bbq spot but it looks like an RV park to me. I stopped when it looked like the road was just a path going into someone’s backyard. Might be time to update the ol’ Google maps info. The non-food was totally vegan tho if that’s your thing. No meat to be seen.

This spot is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very chummy and the food they place on your table is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a nice dinner in this place. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend participating in “People’s Choice” for our visitors. It is the greatest way to eat a variety of food prepared by participating cookers. Samples are given to anyone who buys tickets.

Try, if you can, to wrap your head around the idea of about 200 cookers, all of whom have won a big deal™ BBQ competition of some sort and are all in the same place at the same time only because they've been invited to do so. Then imagine it only costs $6 to walk around as a spectator, get chummy with as many of those friendly folks as you can, and sample whatever they have to give from as many places as you can fit down your barbecue-loving gullet. Now imagine, somewhere in a far-off place (Austin), that at that very moment there's a line in front of a restaurant that people are waiting 6 hours in to load up on what you're literally standing in a line-less mini-city devoted to. 2 hours in Fort Worth. 3 hours in Dallas. Chuckle a bit at them, derisively, with a sauce-slathered pork rib stuffed in your face. My friends! Once a year, just like Christmas and the Easter Bunny (probably and never proven otherwise to any scientific certainty), all this is a very real thing for a very short time. Why aren't you here? By my extremely scientific methodology, if you're anywhere near a 3 hour drive from Meridian, TX on the last Saturday in October, you should be here, not waiting in a 6 hour line, and eating smoked things until you're angrily full. Protips: Take a pass on judging if given the opportunity. It's a cool experience, but the best experiences here lie in being friendly, striking up a conversation with someone out in the field over a beer, and eating all the barbecue you can find that comes with a story from the cookers attached. Buy about $10 of people's choice tickets at the front after you pay for admission. It gives you a little more of an edge when you're walking around looking for things to eat, cookers to pal around with. Eat a lot of barbecue. Then after you're full, eat some more. That's it! Go forth and have fun!
