We've been Bake's fans for years. Not wholly the best ribs available in Dallas, but certainly worthy of a visit. However, that being said, we will not be using Baker's in Mesquite again, certainly, or for anything other than a "sometime" visit if no other option is available at their other locations. And that pertains to both Mesquite and SW Highway locations. Certainly the greatest disappointed came from our experience having a 21 lb turkey "smoked" and carved by Baker's in Mesquite. We checked with the manager before bringing our frozen turkey to be smoked. We were informed that, if we brought our turkey in that same day, there was plenty of time to smoke and carve it and that we could pick-up our turkey on the afternoon of the 22nd (one day before Thanksgiving). So we brought our turkey in that same day as requested by the manager. We returned to Baker's to retrieve our turkey on the 22nd. It was ready. We added turkey gravy to the order and paid out charges and left. Having had an incredible smoked turkey done by Baker's off of SW Hwy last year, we were excited that we could have done again by them this year. As a side note: The Baker's off of SW Hwy told us to bring our turkey in 1-2 weeks before we needed to pick it up and when we went there to leave our turkey within their requested time, we were told that they were too busy and could not smoke our turkey. This is why we went to the Baker's in Mesquite. Now to the very disappointing outcome. We got home with turkey and gravy, all nicely packaged, and opened the large aluminum. At first glance, the turkey looked uncooked (it was) but had no signs, either of smell or taste, of being smoked...Just neatly carved. We tested the meat and sure enough...it had barely any smoked flavor at all! We served it up with the gravy and this year's Thanksgiving meal is done. Whether we try Baker's again next...we'll see. But we will let others know of our experience with Baker's in Mesquite.

Ordinarily, he would exchange the texas toast for rollsOn our last visit in July, the cashier would not allow the exchange change. To top it all off, when we got home (which is a considerable distance), there was no bread of any kind. We called back to speak with a manager, and we were told the manager was out. We called back and we were told that we could speak with the asst. Manager. We were not able to get the issue resolved. Not at all the service we were accustomed toWe still have the old punch cards. That's how long we have been coming to this location. We are angry because no one took the time to try and make us feel better about what had just occurred. We will be looking for another barbecue spot.

I've always been super satisfied until today ~ I ask for moist untrimmed brisket and the regular guy was not there ~ this woman cutting the meat put fat dry brisket pieces in my plate I drove over 20 minutes to and anther back home ~ I was not happy!! The cashier was very nice I'll have to go back when the man who knows what the term " untrimmed moist brisket" means !!!!

Though they are listed as a Bar-B-Qestablishment, the meats are smokedwith separate sauce provided. All in allthe menu items were quite tasty ( I don'trecommend the coleslaw ).

I went in expecting good food and good customer service but when we went in the service was decent and the food was to vomit instantly got a stomachache and the fries taste really funny not a good funny the price to quality ratio was absolute garbage way to expensive for something that wasn't deserving of the price wouldn't recommend eating or even visiting this restaurant

I haven't enjoy the delicious ribs of Baker's Ribs since I lived in East Texas years ago. I attended a party in Mesquite, TX and decided to stop there on the way home to Dallas. The clerk recommended to me to start off with the small order of ribs, which I agreed to along with some (delicious) dill potato salad. I was SOOOOO VERY SAD when I got home to Dallas and opened up my carton to about 5, fatty pieces of ribs not worth the $12.00 I paid for them. Heating them up was a disaster and I'm finished with Baker's Ribs going forward. I want my money back and shame on them for selling me the junk they put in my carton; it reminded me of fat-back that an old lady might add to a pot of beans for a more "fat flavor". I wanted ribs and only ribs. I was and I am so disappointed and doubt I'll go back. Suggestion for new customers: check your carton before you accept and before you pay for it. SHAME on Baker's Ribs!

Disgusting. The fried pies are cold and taste old. The barbecue sauce tastes like ketchup, I'm not even joking. The Mac and cheese has no taste. The links were good. The ribs were okay but the bbq sauce was so bad they weren't even enjoyable. The brisket was dry and chewy. It was just really bad. If you want some good bbq, go to soulmans bbq or something, this place sucked. But the workers were nice.

I knew better, but decided to give them a third try since the new owners took over. Ordered the small family meal and did not get any onion, pickles, peppers!?! The sliced brisket was SO fatty that I couldn't even eat it and the 4 rolls were stale! The fried okra was good and the Mac & cheese was cold... wast of money! Never again! At least the dogs enjoyed the "meat"
