Absolutely FANTASTIC BBQ!! So glad we listened to the Google reviews. Any place that’s been doing BBQ since 1959 has got to be good, and it was. Absolutely flavourful brisket, ham and ribs AND the mac’n cheese and potato side, can’t remember what it’s called but it’s creamy and garlicky..OMG!! Amazing! Thank you for a fantastic meal and your staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this establishment ?

My husbands birthday celebration was this past Friday 3-22-24. We originally chose Slap N Good bbq in Kemp, I ordered 2 family meals with them on the Wednesday before and when I showed up after work to get my food I ordered, they weren’t closed. So, I was empty handed despite ordering ahead of time, no one thought it was necessary to let me know they weren’t opening the store that day. I called Mesquite BBQ in a panic, and the woman that answered was more than happy to assist in helping me find what family order I needed to place for the occasion and quickly brought my anxiety down! In the 39 minutes it took me to get to them from Kemp, they already had the food ready and packed for me when I arrived. Thanks to Mesquite BBQ, I was able to feed everyone at the party on my husbands special day with good BBQ! I appreciate you so much, you’ve wowed me with how quick you were able to put together 2 family sized meals for me! Will be using you again!

First time in this area . Stopped in this place and got a family meal for over a 100$ and spent almost 200$ in total.I almost walked away from the register and not even pay for the food and go somewhere else due to the rudeness of what looked to be the owner. HOWEVER ...THIS WAS THE WORST BAR-B-QUE I HAVE EVER HAD ! EVEN THE SIDES. The Mac and cheese taste like salt and the coleslaw was just shredded cabbage. 7 out of 7 people eating this said it was horrible. STAY AWAY !! WORST EVER . The brisket was tender but taste just like smoke and the other meats taste like ?????
