If terrible donuts are your thing.....this is the place for you! Chocolate donuts were terrible, glazed donuts were terrible. The apple fritter was the worst of all. It was hard like it was two days old! The jalapeño kolache was good. But definitely not good enough to step foot back in that place. And they seem to be more expensive than all the other good donut places in Mesquite. Never Again!!!

I really like their donuts. The owners are very nice and friendly. I've been going to Southern Maid Donuts since 2003. I don't go as often as I'd like. Until I get a car I will have to when I am able to go.

Nice staff. Donuts are cold, thick and tasted old. Kolache bread old and tough. Tastes NOTHING like Southern Maid in Shreveport. Definitely not made fresh. Never again. Even the packaging (see pick) is NOT of southern maid's traditional standards. Anyone giving good reviews must be judging based on character of employees not quality of this location's SOUTHERN MAID DONUTS!
Horrible doughnuts! The apple fritter was flat and hard and cooked so long I had to throw it away. The cream filled had a quarter size spot of cream in it. The guy was nice enough but the donuts aren’t worth a dime.
