This is actual Mexican food, not the stuff they sell at the corner store. Food tasted damn good along with some flour tortillas. Solid 10/10 for flavor, highly recommended the Bistek Ranchero.

Best place for what you want. Even have better burgers than everyone in mexia.Kid-friendliness: Lovely staff who will gladly chat when they aren't busy. Don't get mad if they're rushing it's a small family but the food is ever so worth it.Parking: Decent sized dirt lot with some rough spots so don't bring anything low or fragile.

Mi Familia is consistently delicious. I visit Mexia once a year to see family and always ask to stop by this restaurant to get my Tex-Mex fix (the torta is my go to). I’ve tried several of the meats (all are delicious) but I highly recommend the guisado and barbacoa plus a side of the Mexican Street Corn! It’s a small place but always busy, especially around lunchtime when many of the local workers stop by for tacos. The ladies who work here are extremely nice! Can’t recommend Mi Familia enough!
