“I went here by myself and was hungry in the mood for meat and rice. I like the atmosphere, plenty of booths, tables for big parties, and even a more traditional area where you sit on the floor (rugs) and eat at small tables. The staff was friendly, my server was great and even the other server working there came by to check on me. And the manager stopped by to make sure I liked my food. The food was delicious! My only issue was I can't handle spicy food and asked for mild spicy, but they asked if I wanted the food washed (no spice) and I said mild was fine. But I should have gone with the washed option because it ended up giving me stomach trouble. I also ordered a dish that had jalapenos in it, and my server warned me about how spicy everything was but apparently I can't handle spicy food at all, even though it tasted amazing. I ordered the mixed grill and added a goat leg. This was good, especially the chicken. I had 2 orders of yakhni soup, which I loved. It's a pure broth and they give you a little lime slice to squeeze in it and it was so good. I had something called Alu Palak which is boiled potatoes with a tasty spinach gravy. This is the one that had jalapenos. It is an awesome dish! Also ordered some white rice with cumin seeds. Had hot green tea to drink which came out perfect. So, a great meal with lots of leftovers because the mixed grill is too much for one person. I had to throw out the leftovers though because it was too spicy. Next time I will definitely ask for the food to be not spicy at all, and if I do order the Alu Palak (it was so good) again I'll pick out the jalapenos. Also will get a smaller dish than the mixed grill, probably one of the chicken dishes because they have tasty chicken here. Highly recommended, just be careful about the spice level because even the mild is pretty strong.“

I had the chicken burger(grilled chicken) sandwich and the chicken was so well seasoned and the toppings worked very well with the chicken. Whatever they put on their French fries is divine. “I have been wanting to try Oye Desi since the day they announced their opening at Moosa Colony. I and my family loved their BBQ platter and used to go to their restaurant quite often. At Oye Desi, we tried their Bihari kabab and paratha. It was amazingly delicious!!! Same authentic taste and very reasonably priced. The quantity was enough for two people. “Best bun kababs in houston. Their Chai is bomb. And samosas are pretty decent too. I have also heard great things about their keema. Though, I have not tried the keema myself. It's open late. So, if you want to grab a bite at 2 in the morning, you know where you can go for some amazing him kababs.It's not really family friendly, so I'd suggest a takeout if you're going with family. “By far the best Pakistani restaurant we've been to. Full authentic Pakistani food. No overly heavy masala or oils. Just delicious food1. Samosas- Karachi style (thin and crispy). Had both chicken and beef. Delicious, especially with the chutney. Were served steaming hot and fresh2. Peri Peri wings- crispy outside and juicy inside, with a fantastic seasoning/marinade.3. Nihari- simply amazing in every way. Best restaurant nihari I've had.4. Chicken Tikka (leg and breast)- juicy, smokey/charcoal tasting, with an amazing marinade. Tasted like it was properly marinated with lemon. Amazing!5. Malai boti- juicy, soft, excellent type of seasoning6. Bihari kabob/seekh kabob/gola kabob- Every single kabob was Delicious and also unique. Excellent with the raita7. Naan and garlic naan- full authentic Karachi style naan. Crispy bottom, light and airy inside. Fluffy and delicious. Best naan I've had8. Falooda (had karachi, rose, and pishawari)- best falooda we've had. Lots of jelly, nuts, delicious ice cream, chia seeds, and sweet vermicelli.9. Gur chai- piping hot and delicious. Had it on a cold evening and it was a delicious way to end the night10. Service is amazing and the entire place is very clean and tidy with a really nice karachi inspired decor!Frankly there's not going to be a reason for us to even bother going to other Pakistani restaurants because the quality between Karachi Restaurant and others is worlds apart.Definitely check them out if you're in the area or even take a long drive if necessary!“

“Came here for brunch, the buffet had so much variety and options, including desi breakfast items (halwa, puri, channa, aloo bhujia etc) but also omelets and pancakes and lunch items such as kababs, paya, haleem, biryani etc. The food all tasted really good, my favorite was the suji halwa with pooris.“
“Karahi Boys had some great food! We went after a hike in Brazos Bend State Park and worked up an appetite. For the two of us, we ended up getting a half order of the Charsi Goat Karahi, zeera Rice, garlic naan, buttered roti, a mango lassi, and a mango mojito. Service was fast and friendly and the waiter explained the difference between the Karahis and spice levels since there wasn't a description on the menu. (I will say we went at a very off peak time so I'm not sure if it's the same for regular dinner hours!) The food and drinks were delicious! I will warn you that even the "milder" karahis like the Charsi one we got was still fairly hot, so just be careful if you're spice sensitive (maybe have that lassi to help with the heat). If you like spicy food though, you'll have a great time! Also if you're not familiar with some of the meats, it does contain bones, which I noticed were cut in a way that made them quite sharp. The goat wasn't quite fall off the bone level, so we had to just be mindful of it. We had plenty of leftover zeera rice which we took home. I was impressed with how flavorful and spiced it was. Also, I thought the garlic naan was to die for. Overall, it was a nice trendy restaurant with delicious food! It's nice to have access to Pakistani cuisine in Houston!“
