Great place to waste your money on disgusting food. Let’s start with price, I don’t mind paying 13 dollars for chicken and waffles but chicken only being the size of 3 pinkies was a little disappointing but as long as the flavor is good I don’t care about the price as much but when we got to the waffles, it tasted sour like it was spoiled. I thought it was just me until my partner also mentioned it tasted weird so after only taking one bite we had to stop eating it. We always try to support smaller businesses and most oftentimes it’s great but this is the first experience that we didn’t like.

The Commissary is located in the space formerly occupied by Wing Station on Sienna Parkway, adjacent to the Bean Here coffee shop. When Wing Station closed, the owner of Bean Here took over the lease, and changed it to the Commissary. They still serve wings, with some adjustments (if I recall, this is what the owner stated at the time). They also serve breakfast items including breakfast tacos and waffles. The owner is using the space for some experimentation, such as offering the kitchen to third parties. For example a couple of former staff members have started selling street tacos from the restaurant. The food is fresh and the breakfast and street tacos taste great. The waffles, which I think are the ones formerly sold by the waffle shop that was in Harvest Market, are fresh and fluffy. They have opened up the wall between Bean Here and the Commissary, making it easier to move between the two, for example to order your tacos and eat them at Bean Here. You can also order most menu items from the cashier at Bean Here. There is limited seating in the Commissary space, but you can use the Bean Here space or there are some tables outside.

Took my daughter there for “brunch”….ordered our food from the barcode at our table. Realized 45 min passed and still never received our food so I went to check on our order (they weren’t busy at all) then they finally bring us our cold food. Someone came in and placed an order shortly after and received her food in less than 10 min. Horrible service. Did not feel welcome. Won’t patron again.

Update: I went back and noticed there now is a door that was propped open between the Bean Here Coffee shop and this tasty spot. Yay! Forgot to say that employees at The Commissary are always friendly, polite and welcoming.

Nasty soggy wings. We were excited to try and support our local neighborhood eatery. Not going back!

Huge, flavorful boneless wings & fries. Good value for the price. Great service. Breakfast tacos need to be offered later on the weekends… will be back for them soon!(Photo is after we ate 1/3 of the combo. Filled us both us, and we have leftovers!)

Ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap while ordering coffee next door. Just needed a quick meal between games. I had to wait 25 minutes for the wrap and that was asking how much longer it was going to take. The service was super slow, watching the cooks in back moving at snail speed and seemed very disorganized. I only had one family in front of me with an order as I walked in. Overall the food was subpar and definitely not worth $14 for the wrap.

Disappointing first visit. They didn't have any diet drinks. They also serve fries but don't carry ketchup. Really? Wings and fries were pretty good so maybe useful for pickup. Would not dine in.

This has to be one of the worst experience I ever had. This new management has no clue what they're doing, the order was wrong, the food was horrible and the wings were disgusting. Tried it once and never again, I don't think they'll stay open for long. Don't waste your money like I did !

Menu looks good, but dont bother calling for take-out. You'll starve before you get service.

Posting this review before I've even eaten the food because the restaurant is so appalling, which is NOT the fault of the hardworking ladies behind the counter. The least of their worries was that the menu, handwritten on a dry-erase board, is disorganized and inconspicuous enough that another customer mistook what appeared to be an elementary schooler's display about the Philippines, which contained pictures of a few Filipino dishes, for the menu. I do not know why the child's Philippines project was displayed in the restaurant. Additionally, the menu board was placed at knee height next to a stool so that part of it was inevitably erased by customers climbing on and off the stool, causing the beleaguered staff to have to orally list a dozen-ish chicken wing flavors for one customer that I personally saw. There are flies inside the restaurant which are currently in my hair and pant legs. They are out of boneless chicken, of which half the menu is apparently comprised. Overheard another customer order some other ingredient they were out of. They were also out of something else, which was disclosed to me when I picked up my food. There was a pot on the floor. It was not empty. Let's charitably assume it was used cooking oil not to be served. When I placed my order, I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. I returned 30 minutes later, and waited more than 20 more minutes. There were 2 employees drowning in phone calls, point of sale, cooking, and cleaning, in addition to having to tell customer after customer that a large portion of the menu was unavailable. One of them was obviously new, which is not inherently bad. They were doing their best but could not possibly have kept up. Those poor women were set up for failure. The place is woefully insufficiently stocked and staffed. The worst part wasn't the erased menu or the flies or the nearly hour-long wait for 20 chicken wings. It was the queasiness I felt for the employees. I was looking forward to having a place so near my house that I could walk to when I didn't feel like cooking. Shame.
