China Kitchen lovers beware!China kitchen has been one of my families favorite restaurants for years! Now we came in today to discover they’ve rebranded and completely changed their menu. The servers were rude, the place was filthy. Our server walked over from cleaning a table with gloves, served us our food, and went back to cleaning, ALL WITH THE SAME GLOVES. If that wasn’t bad enough, when they ask you what flavor soup you’d like, you assume it comes with your meal like China kitchen always did. Apparently not, it’s 2.99 to have the most bland wonton soup water before your meal. I ordered the Kung Pao Pork, and only needed two bites to know the food wasn’t prepared with care at all. The meat was over cooked and the dish had no flavor whatsoever. So I politely asked if I could just send it back and get it taken off my ticket because I didn’t eat it. They apparently don’t do that here, because they already went through the “trouble” of making it. Don’t make the same mistake we did. This place is awful all around.

Really good food. The Won-Ton and egg rolls are good along with the beef and broccoli.

China Kitchen no longer exists. They closed down and are under new management with a new name. New restaurant is J-Asian Cusine. Sign read opening in February but as of 2,/15/22 it was still under renovation.

New owners and it is just awful. The walls are filthy. The floors are packed with dirt. The service is just lazy and it's like they don't care. The food is....well....bad. they leave their phone off the hook as well so you cannot order take out.

The sweet and sour sauce was weak, the pork for the sweet and sour pork was funny tasting, verified by another mouth. The cream cheese wontons had barely any cream cheese. The egg roll was SOGGY WITH OIL, the pork fried rice was good, the wonton soup was good. Teriyaki chicken was, just, not teriyaki chicken.

Went here late on a whim. Ordered the chicken chow mein, egg rolls, and Kung Pao chicken. I would say all the food was fine but nothing special or memorable. If you need a Chinese food fix, this place will meet that expectation but nothing more.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. Owners have changed several times, but the food is consistent. My favorites plates are the Chicken w/broccoli in white sauce by request. The sweet & sour chicken, Moo Go oGia pan and beef w/broccoli. These plates are all delicious. Their hot and sour soup, wonton soup and egg drop soup are all delicious as well. Quick friendly service and the aesthetics of this restaurant are kept clean. Plenty of parking & easy access of Highway I-35. In all my years of eating here, I can’t say I’ve ever eaten a bad meal.

The food was ok. The service authentic. My Orange Beef was ok, as the consistency of the meat was a little weird. The Hot and Sour soup was on point.

Food quality is bad this is not the china kitchen from years past, ordered thru Uber eats one spicy beef and broccoli and one garlic chicken non spicyThe food was poorly packed, when received the bag was filled with chili oil both meals had been saturated in the oil to the point the meals were in edible the steak looked gummy as it has been boiled and not cooked in pan the rice was not same fluffiness it used to have and the taste was off. The whole meal was disappointing, I ended up throwing the whole orders away and requesting a refund. I will no longer dine in or order from china kitchen which saddens me as this used to be one of my favorite places to eat and I would always recommend to those not from new braunfels that might visit but not any more.

Bought a water and a tea, cuz they no longer serve alcohol. Paid with my credit card, and rounded up to the next dollar for a tip.I thought 'What a shame!' This used to be such a nice place! Such great memories my family has had here over the last two decades. The next day my bank contacted me to inform me that my credit card number had been skimmed, and two charges had been attempted for gas purchases at nearby convenience stores, but declined.Looks like ole China Kitchen has hit rock bottom.New owners, no booze, and credit card theft.

I'm sorry, but this place was just awful. We ordered delivery. The food was just terrible. I'm sad we wasted a hundred bucks on it to feed our family last night.
