It was the worst burrito bowl I have ever had. I usually go to Chipotle, but this time, Freebird was closer. It was cold and actually did not taste good at all. It had everything i love, but it tasted just terrible. The only thing good was the Cilantro Rice, but it was cold. Not refrigerator cold, like room temperature cold. Two stars because the counter person was sweet.

I remember when we would drive across town for a freebirds burrito…. freshly cooked (not preheated) meat with real pinto beans and fresh cut veggies. It’s turned into a corporate pre-packaged and tired brand. No edge, nothing to walk across the street for much less drive across town. Gimmicks to get you in the door is a sign of a struggling brand. If you are giving food away, it means your food isn’t that great. Maybe go back to what made your food awesome to begin with it. I hate seeing great food brands destroyed by boredom and mass appeal.

I've been eating Freebirds since 1999 in college station. And it used to be so good I ate there everyday for a year or two. But I guess they sold the company or something bc it's not the same Freebirds I remember. TBH, the food quality sucks. They have changed the menu, changed the quality of food, and changed the concept. It used to be full of aluminum foil designs of animals etc. gone. Everything used to be fresh. Now it's not. You used to be able to get queso ilo of cheese. Now it's an upcharge. They used to multiple tortilla options now not so much.

It's nice to come here on Sundays when kids eat free but beware for hidden charges. I can't eat dairy. They weren't super accommodating to me but I was able to figure something out. I wouldn't say they were super kind but they were young and were trying to make some extra cash, so I wasn't expecting too much. (I was young working at a place like this once too!) Overall, we probably won't come again for awhile as the food and service wasn't that great.

The vegan bowl was amazing!! Definitely a fulfilling meal!
It's an OK experience if you go inside to order but DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. Your burrito will be made smaller than it is supposed to be. My husband and I ordered online 2-3 times. One time his Monster burrito was the exact same size as my hybrid burrito. Another time the monster was clearly half the size it was when we went into the restaurant. We ordered at different times of day and weeks apart from each other so it can't be a situation of one staff accidently making the order wrong. I am beginning to suspect they are told to make the online orders smaller on purpose. Unless you watch them, they don't make it correctly.
