They are understaffed and the management needs to step up their game, it makes the waitstaff look bad when they aren't doing anything wrong. We used to go here a lot but this last time was just so unacceptable that I don't think we will be coming back. It took 20 minutes for the hostess to even come to the stand (not his fault he was doubling as a busboy and waiter as well) then we were sat and the hostess came out again and apologized and brought us drinks and the waiter was supposed to come next. We waited for 20 minutes then left after not one person came up. We also witnessed 5 other groups leave as well, it's just disappointing to see and they shoukd just open to lower capacity for the sake of their customers and staff instead of trying to sit tables.

Really nice restaurant. Friendly staff and delicious food.

This used to be one our favorite places to dine. Looking forward to another great dinner we were seated only to see roaches crawling on our table and 2 other tables. Several crawled out of the bin where they put the scraps. Needless to say we will never done here again!

This was the worst shogun I have ever been to. Initially they quoted us 30 minutes, so 30 minutes we go check the time and they said 20 minutes. We continued to be patient another 20 minutes and we again checked the time and it was 25 minutes. I told them I wished they had given us an honest time frame and we would have just left.... When another employee heard me talking about it to another group that just walked in, he snapped at me and said "our quote times are generated by assumption" and walked away. Some dingy guy with one singular cross earring. Also keep in mind I have worked in the service industry and I am aware the wait time is only a "guestamation" but the inconsistent fluctuation of times had me thrown off. When we were finally seated, with four other kind strangers we didn't receive our chef until another 40 mins after sitting down. I was pretty put out by this time but I am trying to be patient with the way "Covid" is slowing the service industry. When the chef arrived he was a delight and that's why I give it even one star... but even upon the chef arriving after he cooked all the meat he realized he forgot to make enough for my boyfriend. I would say the $100+ tab we had will be taken elsewhere next time: Management was poor.

Joe the manager was great. We had a birthday reservation that got lost in the mix and he made it happen. It was a great experience. He was very attentive and eager to make my brothers birthday one of a kind. He pleased a party of 16 who came in mad. I was impressed. We all definitely will come back.

This place is horrible! I first ordered the "rose yellowtail shashimi". When it first came out I was horrified. The ponzu sauce looked like soup all over the fish. Already there was this pungent smell. I think they poured that much sauce to cover up the smell. I decided to try one anyways and it was so stinky, stringy and EXTREMELY chewy. I had to spit out on the cloth napkin. It was so smelly that my hand smelt like fish just from spitting it on the napkin! I called the waiter over and told him something. He said "the chief said there's nothing wrong with the fish. It's chewy because it's from the stomach. And yellowtail is the stinkiest fish" what a load of BS. It's chewy and stringy because you cut the dang fish wrong! And the stinky because it's so old!! HOW DO YOU CUT SHASHIMI WRONG AND YOURE A SUSHI RESTAURANT Moving on. I decided to order the shaggy dog. There was no shrimp in this roll... just tempura. Horrible. Y'all better change before you go BANKRUPT

Visited this place a little before 12pm today for my moms birthday lunch. I wanted to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt but it was extremely hard. There were only 3-4 small parties there and we decided to have hibachi. Wait! Let me back up. There is a weird smell that greets you at the door. Almost, smells of an old wet mop or something. We proceeded to sit at a hibachi which looked a bit worn and the grill looked semi cleaned but I tried to champion through. The food was good. However, the kicker was my check. I received my check, viewed the charges and placed my card to be charged. My card was charged a different price than I viewed. When I asked was I misunderstanding the bill the manager stated that I had been charged the wrong ticket. He couldn't do anything about it but give me a new ticket with 20% off but I would leave with two charges. The first charge should be refund in 48 hours. Nope! I'm not spending $70 for two lunches that was just a bit over $30 to hope that the charge is corrected, plus I had other plans for the day. Nevertheless, we didn't get to celebrate my moms' 72nd birthday the way we hoped for. Never coming back.

I don't know what people are complaining about. This place was really good. The food was tasty but the service was pretty lacking and they could have came by more to check on us. I would come here again! I guess depending on the flavor of the foods depends on the chef that's there. Mine was pretty good. Everything was pretty good. Would order from here again! I just wish they had more cooked fish kosher rolls that don't contain any shellfish. Like a baked salmon roll. There's just a lot of rolls with shrimp and I can't eat that. Hopefully they will add more diverse rolls.

First off, the hostess put us at a table where she didnt even tell the waitress she was stationed there. So here we are waiting for about 15 mins just for the menu (which was just a booklet not the book menu). Another 15 mins of waiting for them to ask our drinks which we had to flag someone down to get any kind of service. Iced teas were watered down. 2 out 5 utensil settings was given. When we finally ordered our food we specifically told the waitress NO SHRIMP on my husbands plate cause he is allergic saw her write that down. When food came it was about 20 mins later, sure enough my husbands plate had shrimp !!!. He had to switch plates with my son, waitress should have taken the plate back but nope not even a sorry or offer. Dinner plates come with soup and salad, soup never came. My mom got the lobster bento it was rock hard. Hubby and son got steak teppan, dad got the filet mignon ALL THE STEAKS WERE THE SAME. No taste, not juicy at all, it was hella chewy. My chicken teppan was O.k. As far as service?? All the servers seem to be young and unaware of what they need to do.. I witnessed 2 of them behind the bar putting whipped cream in the other workers mouth (someone celebrating a bday so they used that same can of cream for the sweets and went into someones mouth) "ACTING MANAGER" was walking around asking tables how is everything, came to us and all of us literally shook our heads, hubby said no comment.. he goes to the back to see who our server is, talked to her then went on messing around with the other servers... Nothing was good out of this dinner. Horrible experience.. I wont be surprised if this restaurant closes soon.

We did the Hibachi. The food was bland, our cook did not speak to us. the only seasonings he used were butter and soy sauce . I asked for medium steak he over cooked my steak and made it well done. My friend ordered scallops which were not cooked through all the way to which she lost her appetite. Do not waste your money or time on this place.

Never again -- this place is filthy dirty. Everything is sticky, and it has an odd smell. The bar area has a bunch of papers, garbage and supplies on the floor. The bar itself is a catch all for random supplies, open bags of chips and whataburger leftovers. The only redeeming aspect was our waitress -- she was clean, pleasant and attentive to our table.

The food is good but the service is not. When you place a to-go order expect them to not give you the correct time and then make you wait an extra 10-20 minutes. Also, the don't start making the food until you show up. I've had this happen to me several times and it just keeps getting worse. I wish they knew how to do to-go orders but they don't. Would just recommend eating at the restaurant.

Well, I don't know where to begin!! Went there about 6 weeks ago for hibachi. They said the health inspector was there so had to sit to eat in dining room. We ordered two mai tais that were undrinkable. Girls standing around with long eyelashes and fake nails knew nothing what was going on at ALL!!!! We ordered dinner and it was atrocious!!! The owner came by and we told him of our experience... He was very nice and apologized and bought us and himself a drink. He said to come back and he would by our drinks next time. I took the night off to spend with my husband and try the hibachi tonight. Even though we were really scared to try again...now we know why!!! Shrimp was rubber . lobster was rubber with melting margarine still trying to melt on my p!ate! Medium rare filet mignon was WELL DONE!!!!! Didn't even taste like beef!!! Margarine kills taste f everything!!! SO DISAPPOINTED. WHY?? WE TOLD THE MANAGER ON DUTY...10% DISCOUNT... WOW! THANKS ALOT! We spent a lot of money and left it there! Do yourself a favor... Don't go here!!!! By the way, the owner was not there because of a death in the family, which we are deeply sorry.

This restaurant needs to get it together. Wanted to find an Asian place near us for lunch. And decided to stop by here. Let me give you a break down of the service, restaurant, and the food: 1. Customer Service- Upon arrival you are greeted with the smell of wet mop. The host guy is not even at the front to seat you. We were acknowledged by the chef at the sushi bar that was across the restaurant. We had to wait about 5-8 minutes until the host came to grab us. And note, when he seated us, he gave us the dinner menus. So our actual server had to swap them out with the lunch menus. Our server however was friendly and attentive- made sure our experience was good even if there were some questionable things about the restaurant. 2. Restsurant - It's also evident that this place is lacking upgrades. The chairs are ripped, and the seats at the booths are teared and beat up. I am not sure why the owner hasn't had these fixed. There wasn't even any effort of taping the tears. The wine shelf at the front looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, and it literally smelled like wet mop the entire time we were eating. The restaurant needs some care. 3. Food - surprisingly the food isn't bad. It's not like a 5 star quality restaurant. The bento box meals are definitely filling, instead of a cali roll, they serve it with an eggroll and cream cheese ragoon. Shrimp tempura was crispy and fresh and the teriyaki chicken tasted as it should. The food experience was generally good. However, I wouldn't come here again (unless the wet mop smell is dealt with and the chairs are fixed). This is the first Japanese restaurant I've been to that I wasn't impressed with.

Yikes, if you have had any decent Asian food before, this would not be a good option. Upon walking in, I was hit with a very strange seafood smell that was not very fresh at all that made me very suspicious already. Any decent sushi place does not have a weird fishy scent. We were seated in a booth that was dirty, had crumbs on the seat and rice in the window sill. Started off with chicken yakitori that came out lukewarm at best. Flavored decently but chewy. I was not about to order any raw fish rolls so we got the Texas roll with cooked crab meat, jalapeño, and cucumber. Nothing too great about it. For the main entree, they stopped serving a lunch menu on Sunday so we had to order off the dinner menu (??). I got the vegetable yakisoba with fried rice and my boyfriend got the teppanyaki filet mignon, medium. Giant portions. The house salad had a lumpy sauce that looked like it sat out for a while so I just had a few bites. There was also an onion soup that was okay. The noodles were a bit soggy already and my boyfriend said the filet was not that bad. The fried rice was somehow greasy and dry. I ate a bit of the yakisoba leftovers for lunch the next day and my stomach was struggling. Then I clearly did not learn because I ate the rest of the fried rice the day after for lunch and boyyyy my stomach was in pain. Overall, I did not feel the restaurant was very clean and the food quality shows that. If you have a stomach of steel and don't care about food quality, this may be a spot for you.
