I recently dined at El Tapatio restaurant in New Braunfels, TX, and I must say it was an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and quick service. The chips and salsa were absolutely perfect, setting the stage for a delicious meal ahead. What impressed me the most was not just the tasty food but also the great value for money. The portions were generous, and every bite was flavorful. I highly recommend El Tapatio to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in New Braunfels. We went for a late dinner, the environment was great, nice and clean. Service was good. But the food was not up to par, the chips they give for the salas, where old or over cooked, had some tacos the Tortillas were sad, hard, carne guisada was bland, Barbacoa was dry and bland,for the prices they charge for Mexican food I would think the food should be better.

I always go drive-thru but they have the best al pastor. I tend to get the torta w jalapenos toreado. I also can't go by there and not get their shrimp cocktail. It's SO good! They pack so much in the. Their barbacoa is also not that greasy compared to most tex mex restaurants.
