My girlfriend and I have eaten at this location at least five times. Each time was phenomenal! The food was cooked perfectly, steaks were seasoned (didn't need A-1 Steak Sauce), even the mixed drinks I ordered were made really good and loved the atmosphere/staff.Tonight...well. Where to begin? ?1. Waitress gets our drink order and then we get a new waiter unannounced. That kinda messed up the timing of getting our drinks, especially my Texas Tea.2. Texas Tea was nothing but a $10 lemonade (no alcohol at all or even a splash of coke). I wasn't going to wait for them to make it right and didn't know how long it would take to have a glass of ice water.3. I cut in the middle of my first Sirloin steak and found a huge perfectly round nugget of fat in the exact middle of it. I'd expect that from a ribeye not a sirloin cut. It was sent back and I waited 15 minutes only to find a tendon in my second steak. Told the manager, who watched me cut into it, that I would cut around because my girlfriend was done with her meal by the time I got this steak.4. They tried to charge me for the first steak, but had the waiter correct that. If you're a manager and the steak you serve is significantly poor quality steak, then take it off the bill and don't try to pull a fast one only to insult the customer. Could've at least taken off the Arnold Palmer, I mean your $10 "Texas Tea".5. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I find it ironic that my girlfriend paid $25 for your membership tonight and expect me to pay $80+ for Denny's quality steak and service. All the prior times we were here, we ate phenomenal food and experienced an awesome dining atmosphere. Your staff schmoozed us for that membership, but when things go awry and your staff has to make it right then we are lepers/outcasts.I gave a three star review because all the other times were great but this time was ridiculous. It will be a while before we return.

The food, drinks and service have been excellent. The servers were quick to attend us, ask if we needed anything and the drinks were awesome. The bacon wrapped quail and the carrot cake are by far the best we have had. I can’t forget the Tortilla Soup, it was so flavorful.

Messed up food twice in a row, delivered rare instead of medium each time, one person in my party had no food for 50 minutes.As I was ready to leave the restaurant with a 1-star review, the manager Brandon came and made things right. I will give this location another chance later and update my review based on that.

Last night was my second time eating here. My brother was visiting from California and I was excited for him to try the food. Everything was perfect. Service is excellent… can’t say enough about the staff attention at the Mishawaka location. I joined the Landry’s Select Club the first night we dined with our son and daughter in law. Great benefit and far outweighs the minimal cost. I feel welcomed there. Can’t say enough really.

Stay away from Salt Grass especially the one in New Caney, TX. I'll never visit any Landry's Restaurants or facilities again. My family and I visited the New Caney Salt Grass in December 2023. It was very cold and rainy and we were seated in the patio area that was enclosed with plastic. There was no heat so we requested the heaters be turned on. After we placed our order one of the gas heaters above our head exploded which set off the sprinkler system. We were all soaked from the sprinklers and managed to squeeze through the plastic enclosure as we were trapped from going out the door from which we entered the area. We managed to get outside and went back in the main entrance. Our clothes were soaked, my wife's purse, shoes and makeup that was in her purse was destroyed. We were reseated and eventually received our food. The manager came by and apologized and said they would invite us back; took our name and number and never even offered to comp the meal. A few days later the manager called me and I advised him of the damages. He said Salt Grass "Will make this right". He told me he would turn it in to corporate. About a week later someone from corporate called and took my statement and again told me they would make it right. After about two weeks, spending over $100 on our meal, getting soaked and having to eat wet and cold, ruined purse, shoes and makeup I received a $25 gift card from Laundry's. I called the Salt Grass again in New Caney and spoke to the Manger named Bruno. I told him about the gift card and no compensation for the damaged items. He once again said he would contact corporate and that they would make it right. I also told him we had not been invited back as promised! He said that would happen! After a week I received another call from corporate and was told in order to be reimbursed for the damaged items they would need receipts. I was assuming she meant the receipts from the replaced items but no, it was the original receipts from when my wife purchased the purse, shoes and makeup which she knew I would be unable to provide. I told her I had been told twice I would be invited back for a meal and that had never happened. She said I'll contact the manager again to make that happen. It's now been 3 weeks and still no call back from the manager. It's clear Landry's is only interested in your money, not providing excellent service to their clients. I will never return and highly recommend you stay away not only from this restaurant but all Landry's restaurants! I have never been treated so poorly by any restaurant in my life! STAY AWAY FROM LANDRY'S RESTAURANTS!!!

When I found out Saltgrass was opening here in Valley Ranch, I couldn’t have been happier. It’s only five minutes away from where I live and couldn’t wait to go. It was an absolute treat.Got my favorite Ribeye steak, and extras, and had excellent service. Our service Chris was very attentive and did a great job. Appreciate his service and looking forward to going back.The entire staff is a wonderful group of young people providing service with a smile.
