first of all, the people that run this place are absolutely lovely, 10/10 customer service. my mom and i had the hamburger steak, and my boyfriend had the catfish, everything was PERFECTION. i’ve lived in texas my whole life and i’ve never had soul food this good. the hamburger steak was perfectly cooked, the gravy was just a little spicy and delicious, the koolaid was insanely good, the green beans and mashed potatoes actually touched my soul, and the cornbread was everything...read full review
The owner was super nice and welcoming. Outdoor seating is comfortable with good music playing! Awesome place to bring kids. Very good snow cones. Will be back to try their food items.

I went with the grilled chicken breast and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The green beans reminded me of my grandmother's and were really good also. My lunch came with Texas toast which was a nice treat, as I was trying to eat a little healthier. My wife said to heck with the diet and had a Hootie burger. Good old fashioned burger and fries that did not disappoint! Have eaten here several times and always a good experience. Manager and staff friendly and helpful.
