This place has the worst bbq sauce. It tasted like ketchup with brown sugar. The brisket was tough and lacked flavor and bark. The chopped brisket was nasty.

Let me tell you, I have been coming to this location for over 40 years. And the chopped beef sandwiches are still the same everytime. I love this place. Even though I dont live close anymore, whenever I am near I swing by and grab a bag or 2(or 3, like I did today!) of the sandwiches. Today I brought my mother in law with me and she used to own a bbq restaurant, so she knows bbq. And she was impressed too. So go grab a bag and tell them Fred sent you!
Don’t try the fried okra unless u like it raw. Mac and cheese is bland. Terrible brisket slices. More like brisket corners. The Texas fries are sub par yet the best thing I got. They are fries deep fried with onions and jalapeno peppers. Not thinking of going back. The jalapeno sausage was boiled just to give u a clue to the taste. Service was great tho.
