Everytime I pass Dixie I always see this restaurant and decided to give it a try for lunch one day. Let me tell you how HORRIBLE of an experience it was for me! When greeted I let our waitress know that this was my first time and I wanted to give this restaurant a try. My friend and I gave the place a try and went with open minds, but the experience was not so positive. We both ordered plates close to 9 dollars and drank water. Our waitress Mrs. Ruiz said my total came out to 25. I was suspicious because there's no way our total should have even been more than 20 dollars the most with tax. Thankfully their card reader was broken so I didn't pay this suspicious amount. I didn't have any cash on me so I let the waitress write down my card number and I left to the bank to withdrawal some cash. This wasn't an issue because I really wanted to have a meal from here. I needed to question how the total escalated so much. Before I left I told her "I will run to the bank and withdrawal the 25." Upon returning I asked her, "Before I pay, I would like to know why the amount totaled to 25 when our plates were about less than 10 each and we had water?" The waitress then does the math over and the total came out to 18 and some change. Then I said, "Okay, just was looking for some clarification as to I was almost charged 25." She responds by saying "Remember, when you left you said 25. I didn't put that number in your mouth." I respectfully and politely responded by saying "I told you I was gonna withdrawal 25 because that was the first total. I just really wanted to know if there was an error in calculation or on the menu." She then proceeds to call me rude and that's when the argument unfolded! Without hesitation I said "No! RUDE is not letting me know from the beginning that your card reader was out. Had you informed me of this I would have left to get cash and return to eat because my desire was to have a meal here!" She then tells me that I have a nasty attitude. I sure did call her out on this suspicious activity. I said, "Yeah coming from the person who seems like is trying to scheme some money out of me!?" Her attitude changed that instant saying that she is an honest person and doesn't steal from anyone. I told her, "You didn't steal from me because I didn't let you!" She still has the audacity to call me names and what not. I told her, "See if I don't leave a negative review of this place!" Again, she continues with more name calling saying that Karma will get me back one day seven fold when I have my own restaurant. Not once did I insult her with any labeling or name calling. We are still going at it and I hand her the 20. She gives me my change but I told her she could keep it as a tip. She did apologize afterwards. I don't understand why there was a scene caused. Even after I paid I said, "My intentions were still to eat here regardless of a working card reader or not. I wasn't gonna let that prevent me from eating here." My friend and I left and couldn't believe what we had encountered. My advice, Beware! Don't let them cheat you of your money! Go with cash!

I loved the queso! The food is really good too! This place looks amazing on the inside with the rustic look and homey feel. We'll definitely be coming back!

First of all the lady was rude wen we entered then dont got all things on menu not mention da price a LIL high n decided to leave n stead came out to $12.00 us dollars for four can cokes poured n a cup chips n salsa that are free when u go to any mexican resturant ..
