Had a drink at the agave bar. Didn’t catch the bartenders name but it’s just me at 9pm on a thurseday. It is just me and the bartender. I talked with him a bit at the beginning about the background of the place but nothing specific. I have to add that this place smells like hollister at the mall , which isn’t a bad thing. A persistent smell of cologne clouds the room, which is a welcome change over the thick tobacco filled smoke a regular bar. I will admit it is just me and him at the bar, but as someone in the service industry I have attest to the atmosphere of the bar and its surroundings. This bar is right next to a college close it the next school is year where some of the bars clientele may not be present. I cannot say this bar is a must visit with an great staff and an equivalent customer base, but it’s a modern looking bar but it should be considered for a plan b.

The place was trash. Bartender was awesome but security and double standards were ridiculous. They only search and harass the men. So easy to give your girl a weapon. I'll never go back!!!! They threatened to kick me out for bringing up their security risk. Lol. What should joke!

Shouldn't charge a $10 cover fee per person after 1:00 a.m. you wait in line for 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar, so them at 1:30a.m they tell you they are no longer serving drinks. Absolute bs.

I have been to Agave a few times before this but things have changed to a point of discrimination against tourists and those from other countries. For some context, my wife is from Peru and has a Peruvian passport and a United States Visa. The man at the door, who I am not terribly convinced finished high school, asked for our IDs like any other bar and we gave it. The man looked at the Passport of my wife and said that he only accepts state, federal, and government IDs. Great, showed him the Visa and he said the exact same thing. I believe that Agave could hire someone with enough intellect to understand that tourists and others from outside the country do not have access to Federal, State, or Government identifications and that an AMERICAN Visa is a valid form of identification. We told the man all of this and he just stupidly said "I can only accept American passports." I do not believe that this is intentional discrimination against those that are not from the United States, but I believe that the staff needs to maintain a higher level of education when it comes to US law. From US law: "a visa can be used to prove identity and the right to work in the United States."

Awesome new spot in Odessa. Great atmosphere, great staff, great drinks! They have a wine dispenser that rotates 8 different bottles of wine. The frozen rose is off the chainnnnn. There’s also a full bar for those beer and tequila drinkers. This place is dope, don’t be lame and miss out.

Very relaxed and laid back bar. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. They let me set up camp with my computer and did homework while sipping on some great wine since starbucks around here closes early this was a nice replacement!
