I live in far west Houston in the Fulshear, TX area. No need to EVER travel east for excellent Tex Mex! Have been going to Lupe's for excellent food and drink for six or seven years, and it NEVER disappoints! My favorite dishes are the seafood dishes. With four "signature" sauces that can be enjoyed over seafood, chicken, and beef, you can never go wrong. Be sure to try to stuffed jalapeno appetizers. We have recommended this restaurant to dozens or our clients and friends, and it is a regular dining place for most of them now. You would call this a "hole in the wall" restaurant, but it is far superior to most of the top-rated Houston Mexican restaurants. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating and seem genuinely happy to see you when you come. TRY IT....you will LOVE IT!

The staff at Lupe's took every precaution against Covid 19 during our visit. Food was fresh and tasty and arrived quickly. The fajitas and tortilla soup were especially good. We look forward to eating here again.

Tucked away in a rural small town in Texas, this restaurant serves authentic Mexican food which is very different from what I have eaten at other Mexican restaurants. Waiter was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a dish with bacon wrapped shrimp, grilled beef and chicken. I asked for the sauce to be on the side. Everything was excellent, esp. the bacon wrapped shrimp which had a pc of jalapeno pepper inside. We were all happy with what we ordered. I was totally impressed with the salsa that comes with the free chips. It has lots of bits of fresh tomatoes/vegetables in a medium hot sauce. Absolutely marvelous.

While traveling, we ran across this hidden gem. Friendly folks greeted us and we were seated promptly. Two kinds of salsa came with the chips - a warmed red salsa and a creamy green. Both were excellent. For lunch, we both chose the special of the day - beef fajita enchiladas. It was so good! The enchilada sauce is different and delicious. Next time we're in the area, we will definitely stop!

Our food was delicious. I had the Charrito Shrimp and our waiter was excellent. The only downside was the smell. I realize this is an old building and the restrooms are right by the entrance, but there is a strong smell of urine in the restaurant (but ironically not in the restrooms, perhaps the exhaust need to be checked).
