“you can go into this bar all by yourself and the patrons there will talk to you and suck you in, make you feel like part of the family! you'll think you knew these people all your life! the bar itself is absolutely gorgeous, the wait staff is very efficient and fast and very friendly! I can't believe the reviews would be anything under a five star!! oh and the restaurant connected to it is absolutely amazing!!”

“My family highly recommends Simple Simon’s of Palacios!!! Very affordable. Staff members were so friendly and very helpful. Restaurant and tables are clean.The calzones are amazing and HUGE!!! We each ordered one thinking they were personal sized because of the low price.Much to our surprise, the were extra large, and all 4 of us could have shared one calzone!The small cheese pizza was great too. Crispy crust, saucy, and cheesy!”

“After a disappointing bowl of pho from another Viet place in town, I still was craving the comfort of a good pho broth. I walked into the place and it took me back to a memory when I was in my home country of Vietnam--The smell of cigarettes, the asian produce in cardboard boxes, and random skin care products. My pho came out less than 10 min unlike 40 min elesewhere in town and it was piping hot like it should be. The broth had the fat floating to the top which shows they used the fatty beef bones and not just MSG for flavor. They gave different cuts of meat and the traditional meatball which was a delight. I really enjoyed the pho and all the herbs they gave me and it gives me faith I can still have Viet food if I retire away from Houston. The only reason why I'm giving four stars is cause like Vietnam it isn't as cleanly which concerns me during the Covid pandemic.”

“Love the new place! It gives you a lot more seating. Food is wonderful! Coffee is great love coming in often! However, I wish the food was warmer. The tacos have come out cold, along the migas plates that’s my only real complaint. The food tastes wonderful when it is warm. I’ve had to send plates back due to this. Service could be a little more attentive but all around very nice! They are always so nice.”

“Really good place that's a little isolated out on the coast. They have a large impressive menu of seafood, burgers, and a whole lot more. I love the unique batter on their shrimp. Order your fries extra crispy and the coleslaw is different and delicious. All sauces are help yourself from the condiment bar so no shame (or charge) for going buck wild on ketchup, tartar sauce, ranch, cocktail, and more. The only reason I withheld a star was because they only had gold peak tea. No fresh brewed...”

“This restaurant was highly recommended by the locals of Palacios. We drove out here from Galveston and would make the trip back to support the community and enjoy the delicious food. The food is priced very reasonable and flavorful. We had the chicken fried streak and the #10 and would suggest the tamales and enchiladas for lunch/dinner. Restaurant was also kept clean and organized.”

What we didn't expect to find was really good tasting burgers with big portions and being served by awesome people like Juan who worked with diligence and speed. The rest of crew worked like clockwork. That and the overall appearance of the location was simply splendid. We're definitely coming back here on our next trip.”
