If you’re ever in the Palestine area, make sure you stop by Rump’s! Everything from their fried fish combo to their turkey and sides are all delicious. I went there 2 nights in a row while visiting the area and can’t wait to come back!

Visiting Texas for the 2nd time and we got to finally check this place out. I had the brisket baked potato and it was amazing!! But their buttermilk pie was the most amazing thing I have ever had! Everyone got something different so I got to try alot. The catfish was so good (I didn't even know I liked catfish) and the bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeños was one of the best shrimp I have ever had. Absolutely will be back. Visiting from Oregon
The website says there open but NOTParking: Parking was great as they was not OPEN !!!!!Suggestions..... change your Website as you never know if this place is open or closed

Great food great service the coleslaw could use a little more somethin but to stuff was really good corn casserole. Chopped brisket was good not dry. Sausage has a little kick. Prison guards crowd the place out the 1st of the month.

Buddy let me tell you if you like BBQ or fish this is it they are only open Friday and Saturday but I will make a special trip just to get there

Everything was simply delicious! Terrific family friendly atmosphere. It's a 2 hour drive for me, but will be going back.
I have eaten here many times and probably sampled everything they have on the menu. Food is great, service is great.

Nice place to eat food is good but a bit out in the woods and Palestine I guess is the closest place to get to
