The picture speaks for itself. Being pregnant I've searched far and wide but they have THE BEST pasta

They have, by far, the best, most authentic Italian in the area. Relatively small portions but the quality more than compensates. You don't come out overstuffed. I had a small dinner salad, perfection. Baby greens, lightly dressed in a subtle vinaigrette. My husband had an app of toasted garlic bread, again faultless. My entree of fettuccine alfredo was REAL. Chewy toothsome pasta with butter and parmesan, not some canned cream cheese sauce. Topped with fresh, moist, grilled chicken breast. Husband had brisket grilled cheese, not Italian (he is), but he enjoyed it. Topped all off with a generous shareable portion of very good tiramisu. Two apps, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a shared dessert, under 60 dollars. In today's world, a value, considering the quality, a bargain. They have fixed their former missile-test-sight parking lot, so access is easier. I wish they were closer, but frankly I'm glad they are 30+ miles from our home. Or I'd eat there all the time.

Last two times, the pizza was burned. I ordered to go. It was burned enough to make it smell. Before that it has always been great.

I love this place because it in a little area in the forest where it’s away from all of the busy parts of downtown Palestine and has great food and friendly waiters it is a little pricey but it’s worth the weight personally I love getting the calamari or truffle fries with spaghetti and a small pizza to share with my familyParking: The parking situation is kinda of difficult the navigate and there’s not a lot of parking spots so your most likely not going to be able to find a spot if it packed.

Food is always top notch. Staff are great but over worked making for long wait times. Love the place and highly recommend it, especially for their pizza.

If I could give negative stars, I would! Don’t bother to go to this restaurant! We looked online and saw their closing time was 9pm. We arrived at 8:15 and could not get in. We called because we were outside freezing and thought maybe we were at the wrong door. We were informed that they stop seating at 8 pm. They were totally rude and unprofessional! If you call and ask to speak to a manager, they conveniently don’t have one available. Never will I give them any business.

We pulled in about 10 minutes after 8 PM on a night their hours say “Closes at 9 PM”, but we were turned away because they “stop seating at 8 PM”.One, they need to update their site or Google info to accurately reflect their actual closing time. Two, they shouldn’t be so rigid when a group of patrons show up ten minutes late ready to spend money. Will never be back.

Google states closing time at 9 pm. Hostess wouldn’t sit us at 8:05pm.

Listen. If you are ever anywhere near Palestine Texas, you HAVE to eat at one of the most hidden delectable gems in all of Texas... honestly maybe the whole U.S. Switch-Brick Oven Pizza & Wine Bar. We have eaten here many times and are never disappointed. But tonight........... they had a special - a Rueben sandwich. I know, who would order a Rueben sandwich at a brick oven pizza/Italian restaurant, right? But my husband is a lover of Reubens. He makes his own. He makes his own Russian dressing. His are to die for no matter where we have ever had them. Until tonight. Y'all. Hands DOWN maybe the most delicious thing we have ever put in our mouths. The sous chef told us the sourkraut is the chef's grandma's recipe...aged for days (maybe longer, I can't remember!). The most tender EVER corned beef... aged for days (maybe longer??). Then the sous chef's own version of the 'russian dressing'. We were both trying to figure out what in the world it was made of. He came out and told us. We still wouldn't know how to make it but WOW. When food is made with such patience, love, and flavor like this.... you just HAVE to experience it. This blew our minds and tastebuds! No pic because we were lost in the moment, but honestly there is no picture that could have done it justice. Our server was the best ever as well!Chef Mike ClouseSous Chef RowenServer Riley
