La Isla provides an all-around comfortable experience in that it's never crowded or noisy and you will NEVER have to wait for a table, but it's a cut above fast food. I absolutely love their cheese enchiladas con carne and their rice and beans, but they also have great tamales and flautas. Everything is always piping hot and fresh--oh, and they have great chips and salsa too!The servers are very friendly and do very well to keep drink glasses filled and plates cleared. If you want to linger, that's fine; but if you want to get in and out quickly but want something a little better than a run-of-the-mill fast food joint, La Isla is for you.

It's a cute enough little spot, looks nice and clean. And they have a bar! I do think my food was a bit underwhelming. The house red salsa was fresh and flavorful, although I found the tortilla chips to be a little stale. The queso was relatively bland. Jon said his flautas tasted typical but had a great crunch, and his little side of lettuce, sour cream, and slice of tomato were crisp and fresh. These flautas are their #1 menu item, according to Yelp. #2 is the chicken enchiladas which I probably should have got. Instead I ordered the cheese enchiladas with chili con carne (they come with rice and beans). I found the enchiladas to be plenty cheesy and the rice and beans were good, but the sauce was a pretty bland and greasy. Overall, not the best meals we ever had, but I think it's worth trying other menu items in the future. I just gotta find my thing there. Maybe nachos... also the ceviche sounds delicious and several reviews mention how good it is.

So yummy! Love the free chips and salsa! Small restaurant that is usually not busy but has great food.Had the shrimp quesadillas tonight. I felt like I was in mexico! And my husband had the cowboy enchiladas, which he very much enjoyed. They never have the crowd they should have so come here if you want great food and less people.

From the outside it may look like La Isla has an identity crisis but in reality it is an exceptional Mexican restaurant! Think Cozumel (the island) with fresh shrimp tacos, amazing queso and friendly service! A hidden gem in Pantego!

Decent fajitas and margaritas with good service are available at this spot. Place is a Mexican seafood spot and I didn't have the chance to try any of their specialties.

Quest flameado is the best. My wife thinks their ceviche is the best. I don't understand why they are not busier everyday.
