Loved their pulled pork sandwich. Potato salad was delicious. It was my first time there and the lady who took my order was very helpful and patient with any questions I had. Will definitely be going back soon.

First time visit, I wanted barbecue and was going to go to Pappas but felt like supporting a local spot. I'd give it a 4 but the customer service was questionable. The older lady welcomed me with a "what do you want" instead of a "hello" or "welcome". I was very close to walking out and driving the five extra minutes to Pappas. As I ate my food (which was pretty good) it seemed Andy himself (I assume it was him) took over the orders. He seemed the complete opposite as he welcomed everyone who came in and thanked them for coming. Another worker asked if I wanted a refill which was nice. Overall, it was good, but if I experience a welcoming like that again, I'll just drive the extra five minutes.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. But boy, the prices are so dang high! That's my only complaint!

My wife and I wanted to try all their sides but just way too much. We had fried okra, onion rings, Mac and cheese, potato salad, coleslaw. I had a pulled pork sammich and wife had two meat ribs and brisket. Andy is the best taking orders and giving free samples. Coming from San Antonio, we just love this place. Great first impression. Food was authentic. Great staff. When I am in or around Houston we will definitely be stopping here. Food was amazing.

This is my first and only time reviewing this place. I've been coming here for years now, and as soon as i discovered it i was surprised by the location, as it was located in the middle of a neighborhood? unusual but it is a hidden gem!I have had the three meat plate every time and it is worth it every time, the food speaks for it self and great customer service! Ive seen Andy work that register and he's always in a positive and appreciative of his customers. Nothing will stop me from coming to this place for years to come. Thank you Andy's BBQ

The person at the window who takes the orders should not be doing this type of job. When we walked up to place our order, she just looked up at us. She did not say can I help you, smile, or anything. In fact, she appeared to be mad. It probably was the end of a long day since we arrived at 6:00 pm, but this is a really good way to run off customers. This is unacceptable! The turkey was not good either, it had no taste. I hate to do bad reviews, but I really felt the need to let you know this. When you go out to eat, you want to have an enjoyable meal. This was bad, and I won't be going back.

Tried this place for the first time today and before going in, the smokes caught my attention and made me go hmm. A couple coworkers were with me as well. One got the ribs, they were good. Another coworker got the brisket and sausage, the brisket was okay but the sausage was a weird texture and not very flavorful. I got the turkey, I do not know if it's a left over or what. The turkey was horrible, worst turkey I have had. I did not taste smoked at all, it tasted microwaved or oven cook. The banana pudding was spot on though! The staff was nice and the place was clean.

Food was good. Servers could use a little more enthusiasm. They were kinda rude but I think they're probably kids who have to help the family business but don't really want to be there.

Super disappointed in customer service. Partly my fault but won't be back or recommend to others. Prices on website are not correct and when I placed order I was not given the correct total. When I called to inquire, person on phone said there's a sign on the door that says prices are different. I didnt pick up the order so I couldn't have seen the signs. Not talking single order...so price difference wasn't just a few bucks. Pappas or Red River from now on. Good Luck Andy's...

We visited this quaint restaurant yesterday and I’d give it 5 stars. There was hardly any wait (and it was lunch time), service was friendly, and I could go on and on about the delicious food. We had sliced beef, baked potato salad and fried okra. We enjoy eating but couldn’t finish our plates because they give very generous portions. We brought the leftovers home and enjoyed it again. We will definitely become regulars.

I think I've finally reached the point in our relationship that it's time to move on to other BBQ. I do enjoy the food there, as I've eaten there numerous times over the years. My visit there the other night has finally placed the straw that broke the camel's back. I've been used to a sour faced Andy on the previous visits to place my order. I've noted in other reviews that I guess his demeanor is bipolar, that he is very friendly, I've yet to see it, which is supported by other reviews. The other night I stopped by, my order was taken by a similarily sour faced woman, who I'm guessing is Andy's wife? I don't recall the interaction, but I seem to remember the "greeting" was basically "What do you want?". You'd think that with your placing the notice on the door that you're increasing prices due to supply issues might encourage you to exercise a little more customer service and satisfaction, to increase return business. This is BBQ, not crack cocaine, I can say "no", and find it elsewhere; there is a Papa's BBQ just around the corner where I can get a smile, and much better service. I'm not a tough person to please, I expect a very minimum of pleasantry to feel satisfied. Not sure why I'm even posting this, as my intent is to point out that your service is lacking, which degrades the experience of your food. Do old dogs learn new tricks? I don't think so, so I'm questioning the point of this. You keep doing you boo, I don't have to come back.

I've come to Andy's for quite some time. I do enjoy their food, but the service of the owner, and now I assume his wife (?) is about to drive me away, if this wasn't the last straw. I can't recall now exactly how she greeted us, but it may as well have been "What do you want?" I felt I was undergoing a interrogation in placing our order. Not really sure why I'm leaving this review, as I don't believe old dogs learn new tricks, and seriously doubt that these two can learn to show a smidgeon of appreciation for people bringing their business there, especially in light of their sign posted advising prices are being raised. I believe in supporting family owned business, but for the same money, I can at least get a smile in going to Papa's BBQ, just around the corner. I'm not a hard person to please.

Always love Andy's. Barbecue is difficult to find in Pasadena. Sorry Pappa's.... I like the Barbecue that won't break the bank and tastes amazing.
