I am an old fan of the Sakura restaurant that used to be in Alvin. When they closed down during the beginning of covid I was devastated. When I mentioned that to a friend a year later they told me of a Sakura Japanese steak house in pearland. My wife and I decided to take the family for a celebrated birthday. The prices were fantastic (we caught happy hour). The food was Amazing and my children who usually are picky ate a plethora of seafood and loved it! The service was Awesome! The family happy, and me stuffed to the gills. Thank you for the wonderful meal. We shall return soon and often.

Nice place, just need to do better job of seating customer's. We were told that our table was maybe 30 minutes wait, winded up waiting more than an hour other than that food was good and the service was even better!

Food was good but asked the difference between the lunch and dinner portion because it was a big price difference waiter said the dinner came wit an appetizer so we got the dinner portion for the extra. Come to find out the appetizer was just 2 extra shrimp added to your food for almost 10 bucks more

Don't waste your time here. They will make mistakes and blame it on their inexperienced/new staff and expect you to foot the bill for the mistake. I will take my money elsewhere. There are many Japanese restaurants in Pearland that would like to take my money! Ha!

Happy hour deliciousness before work on July 13th. Hostess was a bit meh, server was friendly and attentive. Food quality is still enjoyable but dining tables could be cleaned off a bit better. Nice fix for the area.

Food was great and for the price? Even better! We ordered the edamame, octopus balls, gyoza and sushi. I would go back just for the gyoza and edamame. My partner loved the octopus balls. I would not recommend the fried ice cream unless you like a really thick fried layer. Lastly, the service was excellent. Our waiter was the nicest person and very helpful! Overall, very nice experience here.

I went during happy hour for yummy sushi at great prices. We were quickly seated in a nicely decorated booth by our waitress who was helpful, friendly, and attentive. I had the shrimp shumai appetizer, the spicy tuna roll, salmon cucumber roll, 1 pc eel and green tea mochi to share (2 pc in 1 order) for dessert. The shrimp shumai order came with 6 pc, which was great to share. The sushi came with potent wasabi, sharp ginger, and soy sauce as expected. The eel was especially delicious. The l portions were an appropriate size, and the overall experience was exactly what I was looking for. Definitely recommend.

I love coming to this place with my daughter, but when I went with my family for a hibachi birthday dinner yesterday (6/16/21) we had a bad experience. We made a reservation and had to wait outside in the heat until every single last person came. Then when we finally sat down everyone that got sat after us got served first while we waited an hour to be seen by the chef. Finally after arriving first and being seen last by the chefs we left to have the waitress give us the wrong total on the ticket and wave us down while we were leaving. It was horrible, not to mention the vents on the ceiling were disgusting.

I love the tonkatsu here. Goes great with their Saki. I have yet to come and try their hibachi grill but I hear great things about it. I also recommend their ? box. They never disappoint.

Sakura is a great, weekend or any day, drink special, great food having restaurant!! ?Food is on point, whether hibachi, dine in or to go!! And they have drink specials daily!! ?Friendly staff and great vibes every time we go!!

It took a while to seat a party of 7 at 2p and the service was slow, but they did seem to be short staffed. That being said, the food is tasty! I love these places. The cook was fun and we had a nice time.

There for mother's day and there was about a 30 minute wait. Went by pretty quick. The wait staff was quick and very polite despite how busy they were. The hibachi cook was very entertaining and even had my hard to impress granddaughter impressed! Our meal was excellent and well worth my cheat from my diet! Was so full and happy when we left and had so many leftovers. Will definitely be back here!
