Under new management and you can definitely tell as soon as you walk in. Service was slow, food mediocre. Atmosphere is lacking and food seems like it has taken a huge toll. Miss the old staff.

There are so many variations of Mexican food recipes. I found some I did not care for. Their menudo has no hominy, only upon request. The carne guisada has a funny taste that I can't put my finger on... cloves, anise? The rice is never fully cooked, and the beans taste canned. We've eaten in and ordered takeout. They're good in a pinch but not a first choice.

When we first entered we approached counter to be seated because they said wait to be seated. Then lady approached and said with attitude you can sit anywhere. Ordered the menudo plate they had 5 tripe and soup water. Asked about harmony or other items that usually come with a traditional menudo and was told that it is separate. Man in restaurant gave everyone around us chips and salsa and we had to ask for ours which is traditionally give like breadsticks. Migas plate was very dry and coffee you can really mess up.

I'm not sure what happend to this place but I ate there with my family last night and the food was terrible. We've eaten here plenty and have had some good meals. But the last two times will be our last. The place seamed dirty, poorly staffed and mismanaged. Its a shame because at some point someone cared. If the owners want to keep raising the prices they need to invest in staff, training, and a management team.

This is an update from a couple years back. Not sure but seems to have been a change in ownership or something this last visit. Service wasn’t good and the food was just okay. Only improvement was they got the chips straight from the bag instead of premade baskets that had sat out all day.
