Sooooo good! It's good to have a Caribbean restaurant in the area. Pate was good, loved the pasta, had fun identifying the flags on the chairs too. Can't wait to go back!

We walk in, and my wife and I look at each other thinking... Well, it's empty in here. This aint a good sign. The place looks desserted. To our surprise, the food was amazing. They have a small place with good music... service was fairly quick and not too expensive for my wife and i to eat. One thing is they have a t.v with a picture frame around it. Pretty unique. Definetly will be back to try some more dishes.

Everything was delicious. We got curry chicken and goat, brown chicken, and oxtail. We definitely will be back.

Tried the curry goat. Goat with the rice was good. Cabbage and plantain weren’t worth the money paid.

Been looking for a good Jerk spot since moving from London.Spoilt for choice there with good Jamaican food. This place is decent, good quality meat and rice+pea.Lots of differences to what I’m used to, no option for gravy on chicken or sides,Coleslaw is steamed instead of cold.No homemade signature sauces, normally see a ferment hot sauce and home recipe jerk.Good portions.Definitely coming back.

Island Fork Jamaican restaurant is a spot worth waiting for. Although the wait time for your food might test your patience, the payoff is absolutely worth it. I recently placed a to-go order of jerk chicken, and let me tell you, it's easily one of the most delicious jerk chickens I've savored in the Austin area. The seasoning was spot on, striking the perfect balance between spices and heat.If you’re a fan of bold and flavorful dishes, Island Fork Jamaican restaurant is a must-visit.

So I landed in Austin and I was extremely hungry. I stopped by this restaurant for a bite to eat.First, the order took more than 25 minutes to be made ready.Second, once I got the food, the rice didn't look appealing because it looked warmed in a microwave.Since I paid all that money for the Oxtails, I figured I should try and eat them....well, they were EXTREMELY SALTY! In fact, my entire dish was wayyyyy too salty. I couldn't eat it and I'm very disappointed with this.

Met a friend here for lunch. We were both happy that they have gluten-free options. I ordered the brown stew chicken. It came with coconut rice with peas, cabbage, and fried plantains. First off, the chicken was so tender and well seasoned. It reminded me of mole a little. Absolutely delicious. The coconut rice had lots of flavor and was a generous portion. The cabbage surprised me the most. I have never tasted anything like it. It had a slight coconut flavor, saltiness, and something I can't describe. It was by far the best cabbage I have ever eaten. The fried plantains were delicious as well. The sorrel ginger drink was slightly sweet with a spicy kick from the ginger. The decor with vibrant and fun, like you would expect from a place called Island Fork. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to you when it's ready. The only thing that I didn't like was that the food was served in a styrofoam to go container with disposable cutlery. I wish they had more environmentally friendly dishes.

Great local spot for Jamaican cuisine.Food was good, staff very friendly, portions are decent size.A bit Americanized though… the jerk chicken entree arrived with a container of barbecue sauce.Entrees are fairly priced so good value for your money.Improvements could be made by removing the big plastic wall between the person taking the order and the customer. It’s a bit of a shouting match to get the order through to the person behind the plastic dividing wall. The menu presentation could be better if laminated and placed on the order countertop.I’d definitely visit again though,

My sister and I tried Island Fork for the first time today for lunch and the food was ! So delicious! Jerk Chicken and Oxtail came out hot and full of flavor. Had the beef patty with coco bread. Bread was warm andsweet and the beef patty was packed with flavor and a flaky pastry shell. We have found our go to spot for beef patty's and coco bread. Can't wait to return to try out the remainder of the menu. Don't hesitate just GO and try Island Fork out!

Sooooo dissapointed. I know meat...oxtail in particular & these were DEFINITELY OLD. I'm willing to pay more for good food as oxtail are expensive but, this was the most dissapointed I've been with oxtail. It tasted like they cooked them & then had them in the freezer for a long time and thawed out.The rice&bean & fried plantain were good but the main part was ruined.
