Everything needed seasoning! The only good parts for the meal we the roll, mashed potatoes, banana pudding, and the fried oreo. The mac and cheese was terrible, ate maybe two bites.

The food is very bland and seasoned poorly. For a place that fries a lot of things perhaps they should practice double frying as most stuff goes from average to bad quick. I tried it fresh before I left and it was average at best and 15 minutes later it was soggier than the Soggy Bottom Boys banging out “Of constant sorrow” during the Pappy O’Daniel flour hour. The Chicken fried steak, which admittedly isn’t my favorite thing to begin with, was absolutely terrible. I gave it a shot because of the sign outside. I don’t know why they would put a sign up saying it’s the best in Pinehurst ,but if it is, then it’s gotta be the only place that makes it or everyone in town who does has no idea how to cook or season anything. The burger was poorly seasoned and kind of ok, but anyone could’ve made that on any grill in any backyard, so go to the grocery store, buy what you need and save yourself plenty of money. The mac n’ cheese might be the worst thing I’ve put in my mouth since my ex wife. Over cooked, under seasoned and under sauced. As far as I can tell there is nothing special about this place and I would not waste my money here, nor would I go back if it were free. I wish I could go back in time and not throw away my money on lots of things in my life and this is one of them. The young man behind the counter was really welcoming and attentive. I hope he finds a kitchen that makes food to match his attitude.

I keep coming back now that I've moved to Magnolia. This place is amazing. The rolls are to die for. Owner is really nice and thanks his customers. Just go eat here, seriously the best.
We've been twice now and both times were enjoyable.Chicken fried steak is big but breading comes off meat.Catfish was good but we prefer smaller strips. Shrimp was great!Twice baked potatoes were very good too.We had Hamburgers on our next visit. They were good but need some seasoning on the meat.Overall good and we'll be back to try more. Friendly folks and good food right here in Pinehurst!
Food was overpriced for what you get. Hamburgers need to be homemade, not frozen. In all fairness, we did not try the chicken fried steak, but we were disappointed with everything else. The service was good, our food was not. Sorry,

The Best "Hidden Lil Hole In The Wall" Restaurant in the area for simple food. Great service, and Family owned and operated. Pleasant people who you will really think of as friends when you leave. If you like the country, Texas style meal of Chicken fried steak and the"fixens", they have the best. I ordered one chicken fried steak and took home enough to eat for lunch and dinner again. My wife had the shrimp and did the same as I the next day. IE,The servings are ample and so good you will not want to waste a bite. Take home is part of the event. It is worth the adventure to Pinehurst right north of Tomball for just good food and friendly people.
