We had a wonderful meal here. Food is delicious & our server Lauren was great. The chicken saltimbocca was fantastic! Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a marvelous supper at Bonnie Ruth's Bistro in Plano. We've eaten here perhaps a dozen times over the years, but this was our best meal! I had Mahi Clementine which was nicely seasoned, grilled mahi served with celeriac mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. The potatoes were especially flavorful and light, not starchy, heavily textured, or runny. My wife had Chicken Paillard which came with celeriac mashed potatoes and green beans with shallot butter. The sauce on the chicken included wine, lemon, butter, capers, and cream. The taste was so delectable and incredibly addictive. It was hands down one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth!!! For dessert we splurged and shared the chocolate praline cake. What a decadent treat--a spongy chocolate cake topped with chopped pecans and smothered in habit-forming chocolate sauce. Bonnie Ruth's pulled out all the stops for this meal and created a culinary masterpiece in an attractive and relaxing atmosphere. We'll both be back next week for more Chicken Paillard.

Honestly, Bonnie’s used to be great.. definitely gone down hill in both food and science! The past two times we’ve been there on Friday and Saturday nights .. a ghost town; only 3 tables. Nobody greeted us, had to wait few minutes to get seated. Candles not lit on tables. Bread was dry and old. ****Noticed several ants on windowsill***. The pork was over cooked/fried. It was extremely dry and difficult to cut and chew. The chicken was hard to cut.. as if still frozen and not cooked thoroughly. Drive up appeal looks as if they’re closed. The blinds should be open and lights romantic lit for a nice dining experience. Patio had used plates glassware.. been sitting there awhile. Leaves and trash upon entering front door. Honestly, don’t know how they’re staying open … certainly, can’t survive on wedding showers, birthdays!

Our group of friends (8) just had the BEST time here! Our service and food was all outstanding! Some of us had scrumptious short ribs some had crepes with salad some had salad with asparagus and salmon and the list goes on!!! The martinis and cosmopolitans were prepared expertly! I highly recommend! The presentation from the chef was amazing. We are so lucky to have this restaurant nearby! Great job to the owner and staff!!!

We went on a Thursday to take advantage of their Date Night special. It's a very nice restaurant and good service. They were short on wine, so we did the $45 version and just ordered other drinks. We both started with petite salads. Then she had the Grilled Chicken Penne Pesto, but substituted with fettuccine, and I had the Pork Forestier. Both were excellent. We finished by splitting a piece of chocolate cake. All food was included, was very good, and we even took some home. We will be back!

Door dashed the mussels, wagyu burger with mushrooms, and raspberry chocolate cake this past weekend. My husband enjoyed his mussels and we were delighted the meal came with grilled bread and a fresh soft loaf of herbed bread. My wagyu burger was awesome (it was the french style burger) however the fries were super soggy, oily, and inedible. We will definitely do door dash again to try some of their other entrees and appetizers!

Sadly we had a terrible experience. I was really hoping for a nice Father's day brunch but was greeted by cold coffee, watery and overly garlicky eggs and oily brisket and tough turkey. Their Ceasar salad was wet and wilted and our server had an attitude. After spending 168.00 plus an added 20% tip that was automatically placed on the tab, I would have to say that I was disappointed in this restaurant.

We went there for Easter Brunch, good food but they weren't able to keep the serving dishes full. Waited 1 hour for eggs Benedict. I suggest only do menu service on that type of day. They had our tables scheduled for the next round of diners while we were still awaiting food.

One word, Cake! My fave there is Italian Wedding. However, usually they have 5 to 6 different ones to choose from. Listen closely, you can't go wrong. Throw a dart, point backwards over your shoulder, let the clerk choose! What ever you pick: Carrot Italian Cream Wedding Chocolate Red Velvet, it's gonna put you in a trance. So,save it for your TV episode, then enjoy. Walk in the front door and up to the counter and order a slice to go. You won't be sorry. Unfortunately however,I can't recommend the restaurant itself. Go!!!!

I loved this place. I really did..HOWEVER, the Plano location does not do it justice. Service was slow, there were issues when my small group paid the bill and the menu seems to have suffered. Not nearly as classy or special as their Allen or ,now closed, Frisco location. Been there twice-once for lunch the other for happy hour. Don't think there will be a third time.

The best red velvet cake I ever tasted was from Bonnie Ruths a couple of years ago. So my family got one for my birthday. I was so disappointed. It didn't look like red velvet and it didn't taste like it. My daughter brought it back to check to see if they had given us the wrong one and the person they spoke to said it was red velvet and was unapologetic about it. I think maybe they forgot to put the cocoa and chocolate chips in it. Something was very different. If they changed the recipe we won't be buying red velvet cake from Bonnie Ruth's again.

Bonnie has the best steak frites and cakes. Our favorite is the Italian Cream but all the desserts are amazing. I order her cakes for every holiday gathering.

Well, we went back here because we were HUGE fans of ZuZu's and they have a ZuZu's ghost kitchen here. We tried the ZuZu Salad and my wife said that was 100% spot on. However the chips and salsa (what we wanted most) we're pretty bad. They don't taste anything like the originals (red and green) and there is no orange salsa. The queso and black beans were just OK, but also didn't match. The chicken quesadilla tasted exactly like the one from Snuffers and did not match the old ZuZu's one at all. :( Overall the experience was a letdown, but if you've never been to the old ZuZu's then you might like it.Reply to Owner's reply: I grew up going to all of them in the 90s and 2000s, but this didn't taste like any of them. If you have the original recipe then hopefully you can recreate it to match.

While the customer service was exemplary, the food was subpar to say the least. I ordered the 'Pinot Braised Beef Short Ribs' which tasted like a dry, left over pot roast (and, not a good one at that) .... with mashed potatoes that were not even legit and a half a carrot. Basically, the equivalent of a lean cuisine dinner out of the frozen food section at Wal-Mart. Ugh! But, with a whopping price many times over. $29 to be exact. Complete waste of money~
