The tableside guacamole wasn't actually tableside. No molcajete. The guy came out with a tray and a little white bowl of mashed avocado, and 3-4 little dipping sauce containers with lime, jalapeno, cilantro and onion. We had to ask for tomato. Bizarre setup and presentation for 14$. It was more so like a "watch this guy make himself a midnight snack in his apartment" than it was tableside in a restaurant.El Norte, get a mortar, pestle, rolling cart and small bins for ingredients. Then your tableside will be worth the 14$ (perhaps more). What we received, this guy could've made in the kitchen on the other side of the wall without the awkwardness. The entire point of tableside is the presentation and option for ingredients to be altered as the guacamole is made in front of you and to taste test if it needs anything additional. This guy came out with a shallow, white soup bowl of mashed avocado and 4 ingredients in BBQ dipping sauce containers. We truly felt bad for him.Lastly - This place wasn't "Tex" or "Mex", I'm not sure what it was. The tacos came with lettuce and tomato like taco bell. The tamales were thin like flautas and filled with ground beef. The house salsa was sweet like Mariana sauce out of a jar.Upsides: it's a clean and cozy establishment with nice decor and a comfortable ambience.

Food was excellent and a great atmosphere! Highly suggest El Norte if your looking for good Mexican food or Tex Mex!Vegetarian options: They have a few delicious vegetarian options on the menu.Parking: Plenty of parking although it may get packed on a Friday or Saturday night.

It's a great hole in the wall kind of place that has been around for a long time. Favorite of locals, which is how I got introduced to it. It can get very busy, especially for dinner.

The food was good but feels a bit overpriced. The service was solid not too invasive but check in on my party from time to time. I had to look past the exterior assortment of decorations to trust my friends that the food was good. Overall solid Mexican place. Wouldn't have driven as far to go there.

The building is adorable and the service is awesome. I was told to get the flauntas and a margarita and it did not disappoint! Plus it was so much food, I couldn't eat it all and I love leftovers! My margarita was on the rocks but they also offer sone frozen. Wonderful lunch date! Definitely coming back!!Parking: Stay in the buildings parking lot! Too many people park at a different building and they will get towed
Visited for theb1st rime tonight since we were in the neighborhood, and it was good. My husband ordered a chimichanga with chili sauce, and I got tacos. We really liked the smokehouse stuffed jalapeño.
