Fantastic across the board. My guy friends and I went here for a night out and had an incredible experience. Booked online and asked in the booking note for an earlier time. Manager emailed me the same night offering us their smaller private room with designated wait staff...we immediately agreed. Tried flights of bacon, Buffalo Trace products and did a steak flight for our table (45, 90 and 240 day dry aged steaks). Everything was cooked perfectly, staff and management were friendly and attentive while the private room was elegant, yet intimate enough for our group to talk and watch the boxing card for the night. Absolutely going back.

Summary: I've been to steakhouses that serve flavorful cuts, that know how to cook their steaks, fairly priced, and with a fine dining atmosphere and service. This is not one of them.The ugly: Our 32oz 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye ordered medium rare. I was expecting a melt-in-your-mouth steak, but it was not properly seasoned, not that flavorful and cooked all over the place. Some sections where medium well, the rest was medium at best. I know is not easy to cook bone-in steaks, but we are at a highly priced place with proper chefs, not good.The bad: Brussel sprouts and cauliflower, it was dry roasted, no fat, no seasoning, no sauce.The good: The bacon tasting and the super creamy, fluffy mashed potatoes.Lastly, 95% of their wine selection was on a three-digit price range. Call me cheap, but I'm not a fan of paying that much for a bottle of wine, I don't mind paying that much for a good, fancy, well prepared, flavourful meal, though. This was not one of those. Quite a disappointment.

I visited Knife Steakhouse at the Plano location. I pitted Knife against the best higher end steakhouses in the area, and I mean all of them. I was able to personally watch my well marbled, 32oz, aged ribeye steak being prepared with a healthy dose of salt and a bit of pepper as the only seasoning needed. After about an 8 minute wait I was served one of the most flavorful Ribeye steaks I’ve had. I’m talking steak perfection on another level. This steak needed no sauces or butter toppings to give a wonderfully pronounced flavor with a very juicy inside and a hearty crust. A carnivore’s dream steak. Most steakhouses in the DFW use a seasoning blend or butter based sauces to increase flavors and/or hide the quality of the meat. I’m convinced that this unnecessary if you start with a high quality steak and couple it with the correct preparation and cooking methods. Knife steakhouse has definitely proven this.

Perfectly prepared:)Vegetables and dressing served as app were a bit under flavored but a great idea.Bread and sides so forgettable - like afterthoughts. Took home the spinach and mushrooms. Spent 10 minutes making them more special with food processor and flavor additions (white miso being one- it’s like cheating). Only mention bc I’ll get every side if I know it’s special. Can easily add up to an expensive steak so tip still good!

This place was the biggest disappointment. For all I have heard about this place I expected one of the best steaks in Dallas and I can confirm that anyone saying that has not had a good steak in Dallas. The steaks here can be comparable to an Outback steakhouse steak and I don't say that lightly. For the price point the atmosphere wasn't that special. The server took forever and I had to ask for my drink to be refilled every time. While I do not think the food is terrible, for this price point and for their reputation I expected something MUCH better there are better steaks around town for much lower prices and WAY better steaks at this same price point right across the street. All in all I believe Knife is overpriced, overhyped and not an experience worthy of the ticket price.

The menu offers a great variety of items, particularly steaks. They source their steaks from multiple farms, including halal selections for anyone interested.
