Had the salmon dip for appetizer. It was loaded with chunks of Smokey salmon, hard boiled egg, onions and capers. Very yummy! Then a burger which was cooked to perfection. The whiskey cake with real whipped cream was sinful! All excellent at a very fair price.

Oh man I cannot recommend this place ENOUGH to any tourists visiting Dallas . BEST service I’ve experienced in the states - so vested , knowledgeable and happy AF! They asked me what I was in the mood for - right from drinks to dessert and man did they deliver ! Tastiest cocktails - big space decor - doesn’t feel crowded - enough space between tables . Love the decor - dull lights and open kitchen so you can see your food being made. And the WHISKEY CAKE is a MUST to eat before you die- so so delicious , can bring one to tears I’m not kidding. I wishhhhhh these guys were in Chicago too .

We enjoy going out. Yesterday we went to this superb place which friends told us about. We had a delightful evening there with exceptional dishes and a well-trained team and a professional cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we shall definitely return very soon. We highly recommend.

Great food and drinks.Fun communal atmosphere with great music and chill vibe. Casual quality restaurant.Burgers are good- see photo I posted below.Got kids?Child's meals are served on an old school cafeteria tray and look great. Sort of a fun presentation and the kids loved the food and presentation. For the table: The chili and Fritos appetizer is really good. I must point out as " highly recommend".Also Highly recommend is the Whisky Cake. It changed my life. It really is so good it should be illegal. Can't stop craving it. It want it. I need it. I dream it.If you're too stuffed for it while there, get it to go. If you don't, your a fool, but more than that you are missing out on something incredible.

Whiskey Cake is one of the best spots in the metroplex. We have been countless times and it is always a treat! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and I love to ask for recommendations because they always offer up great suggestions. You can't go wrong with the duck wings, local board, or goat cheese fondue for appetizers. My favorite meals have been the chicken and cheese melt (sub chile mayo for the pesto mayo), shrimp and grain salad, and the short ribs. The drinks are so fun, and I love how often the menu changes. Make sure to ask about the specials & most definitely order the whiskey cake!

Tasty and creative menu. We sampled some yummy cocktails and appetizers. I'd definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

I was super excited to come to Whiskey Cake and had heard great things, but unfortunately I did not have a great experience. The food was good but the service was horrible. My husband and I had to wait 10-15 minutes before a waitress even came over to offer us water. She said she wasn't our waitress but would get us started with that until our server came. We waited for another 10 minutes and our server never showed. The waitress who helped us in the beginning came back and said she would take care of us because our server had left for the night. She seemed irritated that she had another table to take care of. I've worked in customer service so I understand that after having a long day it can get tiring, but that shouldn't affect your customer service. She took our order and everything came on time but she made little to zero effort to check in and see how we were doing and to ask how the food was. She was trying to rush us out as soon as possible. I was still eating my dinner and she came and asked if we were still working on it or if she should get a to go box. This was barely 20 minutes into the meal. She didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. After that I didn't even feel like staying any longer. I asked for the to go box and we paid the check and left. If I could, I would give this place zero stars due to the horrible customer service.

I’ve been to this location several times in the last 2 years, a few of those times there was a server named Blake (the receipt showed server name as “Bake” but I’m assuming it was a typo) who is just rude and not friendly at all, we had him a couple of times and those times he barely acknowledged us, seemed bothered when we asked questions about the menu or items in general and just seemed extremely unhappy to be serving us to the point of rolling his eyes a couple of times. I’m not the type of person to usually be affected by bad service to the point of complaining to a manager or anything like that but it was very off putting to be served by this individual a couple of times.Other than that, food has always been great, I love the local board and the whiskey cake of course.

Great atmosphere. Got there around sunset and it was a nice setting. OMG burger was really good and they have good cocktails as well. Whiskey cake dessert tops off the dining experience and is a must try

The name says it all. Get the whiskey cake, and get it again! The inside is super cozy with lots of couches and comfy chairs by the multiple fireplaces. Whiskey selection is great.
