Wonderful place and good food. The place is not hi fi restaurant with high ambience but if you are looking for some good Indian food then this is the place. We had dosas and idlis and it tasted like the ones we get in Bengaluru. Will be visiting this place

We really enjoyed Vijaya Durga Special Fish curry. Nelluru Chepala Pulusu is a taste revelation! The bold fusion of tangy tamarind and fiery spices creates an unforgettable symphony in every bite. The choice of tender fish adds a delightful texture, making it a culinary masterpiece that beautifully represents Andhra's rich gastronomic heritage. A must-try for those seeking an authentic and flavorful journey.

4.5 It was all pretty good. I did not like the rice too much. I think it honestly just was a lil too lemony for me and I would have loved more nuts. I'm going to buy some extra nuts to fry inside and cook it over to eat tonight. The dose and chutney were spot on and delicious and so were the egg rolls. I definitely will be back. I've been looking for good Indian since I got to Dallas. This place is the one.

Vijay Durga Indian Cafe in Plano proves that great food doesn't require fancy plates! Their biryani is a flavor explosion served in humble paper plates, and the spices are so divine that the plate material becomes irrelevant. As a pescatarian, I had ample veg and non-veg options, and the Egg Biryani was an instant 10 out of 10! The salna elevated the flavor to another level. A friend from Chennai praised the Lamb Biryani, saying it tasted like home. Although I am not from India, I do consider myself experienced when it comes to south Indian food and I was definitely in my happy place! You can customize your spice level, and they even offer tasty salty snacks for take-away. Unassuming from the outside, but inside, it's a haven of incredible food that will undoubtedly beckon you back for more. ??️?Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for vegetarians.

The woman who runs this restaurant is so extremely kind. I have never experienced such amazing customer service in my life before. I came here in search of Chaat, and they more than beat my expectations. I am from out of state visiting some family, and where I come from South Indian food is not as readily available. So I was very excited. I had visited San Francisco prior to this hoping to find good chaat, and San Francisco did not do it. However, visiting Vijaya Durga, has absolutely given me some hope. When I say the hospitality here was above and beyond it was truly above and beyond. You must absolutely try the Aloo Tikka Chaat, the Samosa Chaat, and Masala Dosa. The woman there had brought out this one appetizer, I can not remember what it was called. I did however ask that everything be spicy, and I’ll tell you they brought the heat. It was a sort of pepper stuffed with onions, beans, possibly potatoes, topped off with cilantro, it was a deep fried item. That was something I have never tried before, and I am soo happy she had brought it out. Later the same day, I had visited a favorite amongst the locals, Haji Ali cafe with my family, and we had gotten papri Chaat, and a couple other things there, and they extremely lacked flavors. Vijaya Durga Indian Cafe has set the standard for Chaat. Love love loved it!! THIS IS A MUST TRY.Vegetarian options: I would say there are more vegetarian options than not.Parking: Parking lot available

They gave us complimentary sev that they fried fresh. Chicken 555 was super flavorful and tender. Dosa was fresh and crispy, chai was great as well. Food took a bit to come out, but it was well worth it!

This place is worth a stop for some great tasting food! If you can’t deal with paper plates, well maybe get it to go so you can still enjoy the flavors. Spice levels were comparable to requested as well. We will definitely be back after trying their amazing butter chicken and their masala dosa. Our waitress was also very sweet and helpful. She ensured we had the right spice level for our kiddo too. Hopefully you get a chance to go here and try it!

Food is awesome at this place , we ordered close to 8 items, out of which 6 are awesome, and the other 2 are so so .. Anudeep the person at the front as well as service guy is very nice and good .Ambinence wise, it's not that great, but ok. I came to know that the place is owned by cheff itself and he doesnt want to any advertising, but improve the customer base by word of mouth, I know good food attracts people but at the same time the ambience should be good as well.I hope he fixes the ambience, and that will attract lot of people

I wanted to start off by saying the food was flavorful, only thing that needed to be added was salt but that’s to taste. Our Chicken Tikka Misala was creamy, not overly oily and had a good amount of chicken. The spice levels we asked for were correct. The Naan bread was nice and warm with a crispy, buttery exterior with a fluffy inside. The rice was decent, and not over cooked. We would only change the portion sizes to be a tad bit bigger, but the flavor was definitely decent. However, we were put off by the tiny bottles of water. This isn’t typical practice and I feel like we definitely needed more than 8oz water bottles up front, since the food does have spice. Maybe the typical sized water bottles would work or a glass of water. Our waiter was super nice, but he wasn’t what I would call greatly attentive. We had to wave him down several times, and ask for more water. Granted, he was the only one checking out to go customers as well since not many people dine in I’ve noticed. The place is small, so that could be why. However, this seemed like a nicely family ran establishment that is still worth trying. We will definitely eat here again, but maybe do to go next time.
