We loved brunch here on a Sunday but the service was a bit slow even though we arrived fairly early. I had the omelet (they made it for me with egg whites) and my husband had the Americano with grits. Grits weren't the traditional kind but very good! I would recommend their brunch.

Found this as a highly rated restaurant online, but was disappointed to not have the same brunch menu that is still advertised. The waitress said they had new owners now but the old menus are still online. The food was good but very simple. The eggs benedict were good but nothing special. For $18, I wish it had come with something else. Even just a small cup of fruit would have been nice. Kids enjoyed the pancakes, but they tasted like frozen ones from the grocery store (fluffy foam). Husband said the Americano breakfast was "ok".

100% honest review here. Having been to the Black Marlin at Palmilla last year for brunch our group was really looking forward to the same quality experience we have had in the past. However, this last brunch was anything but that. Expecting the bloody Mary bar to still be offered we started out disappointed that it was no longer available. Our server told us new ownership decided against that, fine, we move on to order bloody Maries from the bar that were just ok, nothing special. We placed orders of 2 eggs benny and 2 chicken fried ribeye with eggs and crispy hashbrowns. The Canadian bacon resembles more that of paper thin/tough sandwich meat ham. The hollandaise on the eggs benny was clearly broken, so the ladies basically had butter with scrambled yolk poured over their food. I asked the waitress for some fresh hollandaise and she brought out more of the same broken sauce. Moving on to the chicken fried ribeye and eggs. Eggs were ordered to be over-easy, they were past over-medium. The steak was very tender and enjoyable. The crispy potatoes were unrecognizable as any potato in any form I've ever seen. They were obviously pre-fried and then dropped back into the fryer making them oddly tough and nowhere near crispy. They honestly tasted like the potato bits were scraped from the bottom of the fryer. There was zero quality control from the kitchen, and I was honestly embarrassed for the server. The food runner should have immediately recognized the poor quality and demanded the chef re-fire at a minimum fresh hollandaise and potatoes. With-in a few minutes of receiving our plates we had made up our mind that this would be the last time we visit this restaurant. In the name of saving money, I understand cutting certain things is necessary, but to cut quality and quality control is no way to maintain a customer base. This might seem a little harsh but the 4 of us would have enjoyed a breakfast from IHOP over this experience. I wish I had taken photos, nobody at our 4 top finished our plates.

We ordered for take out, the restaurant was about to close in 30 mins. The lady on the phone suggested Gumbo we got chicken and sausage gumbo that was offered to us instead of seafood. And yet we found sea food in our food and I specifically ordered chicken gumbo it all looked like someone puked in it. We also placed an order for some chicken with rice, The rice was so hard it felt like I was chewing gravel, The chicken that came with the rice was a basic grilled chicken

The new decor was romantic however that was the only new change that was nice. The service was lacking, the menus were cheap, the food was slow & cold. The chicken Marsala was overcooked without any hint of Marsala flavor & the rice was hard. My husband's steak was well done & was ordered rare. The only item that was good were the oysters. Very expensive for what we got. We won't be back.

Cannot speak highly enough about the refresh of the Black Marlin. We took the family for dinner one night and then brunch on Sunday. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. We had everything from the pasta Diablo to the ribeye for dinner and it was the best food I have had on the island. For brunch we had the eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, American breakfast and beignets. If you are port A you have to try this place!

Super upscale little eatery with a great ambiance off the beaten track in Port A. Serious golf club vibes with a cracking menu on offer. All of the waitstaff were phenomenal too! Our whole party felt very pampered and spoilt
