The ambiance is great. Don't let the outside discourage you. Service was good and prompt. I had the chicken quesadilla plate. The quesadilla was loaded with chicken. The beans and rice had great flavor. My husband had birria street tacos. They were very good, too! We really enjoyed it and will be back.

We had beef fajitas. The beef was tough, and had very little flavor. Salsa and chips were OK. The young man who was our waiter did a great job.

Looks like a family run restaurants. Friendly service. Large menu and fair prices. Food was good! In particular we liked the shrimp and fish tacos. I recommend to avoid everything with cheese as they use the typical American orangey cheese sauce.

The food was great! I recommend the Queso Flameado to start off with. Service was a bit of a disappointment, though. I mean, she never smiled the entire time until after I paid and told her the tip was on the table.

We have finally found a restaurant in Port Lavaca that can bring 2 paleo diet people enough food to leave satisfied. In addition to getting enough food the fajita were delicious. The city water is terrible and we wish restaurants would filter it but beyond that our meal was delicious, the service was fantastic and we left happy and full.Dietary restrictions: They were happy to serve the fajita without the beans and rice.

I'm just gonna tell you my experience at this restaurant from start to finish and if you found this place to be swell, by all means go for it. Here goesSo me and my girlfriend went out to dinner there. It was about 2 hours before closing time and the place wasn't busy at all. At the most, there were 2-3 couples (including us).Right away, i will say the place looks great. I love the decorations around the place and the overall design. So we ordered our drinks, and 10 minutes later we got them. That's when I immediately had an issue. First off, as i mentioned, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. So why in the hell did it take 10-15 minutes just to get 2 drinks? I've been to multiple restaurants where its been extremely busy and even then, those waiters and waitresses were able to get our drinks in a timely manner. Now im sure there are many more delectable items on the menu, but the one I ordered was very bland in taste. I ordered the fried fish sandwich, ate the fish and the fries, and called it good. I couldn't eat anymore because the amount of blandness there was nearly made me puke. Again, im only critiquing one specific menu item, this doesn't count for any meals i haven't tried there and is the only thing that bumped this score up from a 1 star rating to a 2 star rating.Like i said, the decorations and the overall design of the place is very good, but somehow it lacks that intangible family restaurant feel. Personally at least, im sure you can disagree with that. It just felt empty and as bland as the fish sandwich i ordered. This was my first time going to this restaurant, and based on what this first impression was, i didn't enjoy it very well. This will probably be my only time at this restaurant, and im sorry if you're a viewer of this who just so happens to be a fan of this restaurant. Don't let my story of my first and only experience ruin it for you. Maybe in time ill change my mind and give it another chance, but as of right now, 2 star rating (though it deserves less), and my only visit here.

Can really get a good idea of how a restaurant will treat you when you show up 30 mins prior to closing. Wasn't terrible service but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the best either. 4 of us - 2 ordered taco plates, 2 a chapula plate. Not bad food but they put a plastic paper down on one of the taco plates. When picking up the food with a fork a friend of mine accidentally scraped up some of the paper as well. Not sure the necessary reason for the paper when dining in. Might give it another try, not sure yet.

It's okay. Went there about 3pm. I got two happy hour Pina colada, 1 fish taco special, and a cheese quesadilla plate.Pretty sure it was 3.99x2+8.99+9.99 but came out to 36.** I think we were over charged, Anyway, service was okay. We were asked a couple times if everything was okay but then wouldn't see anyone for 10 minutes, the food was okay, the salsa taste off. The cilantro salsa for the tacos was very good. Waited around for 5-10 min after eating because no one told us to go to the register to pay when done, not that anyone was at the register or visible at all anyway. Id go back to try the fajita plates which are 14-16 unless prices changed.

My husband and I went to go eat breakfast for his birthday. Had a good time just him and I. Food and service was great!
