We love the Portland, TX Applebee’s. This visit we ordered the 1/2 sandwich w/chicken tortilla soup. The soup was delicious, full of flavor & warmth( since it’s usually cold inside year round) the club type sandwich was grilled and full of deli meats and cheese, just scrumptious?. The servers are always friendly and welcoming.We’ll continue to make our visits!

I walked into this Applebees a few minutes ago and the small, naive, blond hostess said there would be a 15 minute wait. This was after I’d already waited a few minutes at the door. I clarified by asking, “a wait to be seated?” As I looked around to a less than half occupied restaurant. She responded, “ya”. I pointed out that there was hardly anyone in there and she said that they were, “low on kitchen staff”. The food at this Applebees is usually good, and I always tip the staff well. But this particular day and hostess weren’t impressive.

Avoid at all cost! Food is mediocre and if you’re not a regular at this particular Applebee’s you’re ignored. Sat at the bar alone, waited 10 min for the two bartenders to even acknowledge me. Meanwhile they were yelling around the restaurant at their “regulars/Locals”. Salad came out with no napkins or silverware, continued to get ignored until the girl bringing my entrée acknowledged me and brought me some silverware and extra condiments. Typing this while sitting in the restaurant, they really don’t give a F. My water still needs to be re filled at the moment…….

Went 2 hours before close the other night and got the unlimited wings and stuff. It was alright. They definitely kept stalling to fill me up and make sure I didn't order too much. Also I have beef with this restaurants ranch containers. It's about a tablespoon of ranch. Then if you ask for extra you get charged an upcharge for what other places consider a normal amount of ranch. Overall it's okay.Wheelchair accessibility: No ramps to go up but it's not needed because there are no thresholds.

Ribs were dry, drinks were slow and poorly done. Took 2 hours for lunch and we didn't get there til 1. Our waitress was good and tried to make the best of it for us.
