“Today was our first time. I had a delicious rib-eye, another had cheeseburger and fries, and another had fish. Each of us had enough for a take out box. The staff is friendly and service was great. Love the atmosphere. Will definitely return and highly recomnend.”

“On our way back to Missouri and we passed this place and it was busy. So we had the choice between it and Dairy Queen. So we decided to give this place a try. Glad we did service was good and the food was good. Next time thru there we will stop again. Give this place a try.”

“Very impressed with the service considering how busy they are. Fries portions are massive. They're made from whole potatoes and perfectly crispy but a bit too salty for my taste.”

“Absolutely beautiful restaurant with delicious good old fashion southern soul food just like Grandma used to make served with a smile. I cook a lot of down home southern soul food, I am dang good cook, but sometimes I don't want to cook it myself, sometimes I want someone else to feed my soul for a change and boy did Harlem Nights feed my hungry soul. I had the chicken and dressing with a side of greens and mac n' cheese while my husband enjoyed the fish and shrimp with mac n cheese and okra, we started off with some tasty fried green tomatoes. All homemade deliciousness! The food was out of this world and they weren't stingy, the portions were huge and the prices were great. I have enough chicken and dressing to last my aging body a few days and my husband walked away with a huge whole hand breaded fish filet and 4 shrimp. My husband polished his off when he got home and declared "it's even good cold!". They were pretty slow as they only had one cook due to being understaffed tonight, we didn't complain as the food was worth the wait, but the cook came out and still sent us home with some delicious peach cobbler and banana pudding to enjoy when our tummies weren't so full. Bottom line, if you love good granny style home cooking, IE: soul food, this is the only place in town you will find it cooked the right way! You could feel the love in our food, we WILL be back. The oxtails are calling my name.”

“Gotta be honest. When we pulled up, we weren't expecting a repurposed Sonic building. Curb appeal is lacking, but the food was excellent and prices were outstanding - especially the lunch specials. Recommend the chicken fajitas and queso!”

“This place is absolutely amazing. Completely embodies the phrase “southern hospitality” but with a modern twist. Great place to get away from all of the city noise and get an authentic experience of the good life. From the entrance the service is started to a greet and the staff is extremely helpful. They have an expansive selection of local honey, farm eggs, and handmade: pastries, seasonings, scrubs, coffee and much more. For the family, the do have some animals for petting and special events. This is a northeast Texas must visit!”

“In town for work. I decided I wanted a real breakfast instead of a hotel breakfast. This place is amazing. Real home town food. Elizabeth was my waitress and let me enjoy my coffee before I had to order. Maggie is the hostess, table cleaner, waitress. She seems to hold the place together. I have a week left of being here in Paris, I will be back! ❤️”

“First I passed by and thought it was closed. No cars in front or open sign. Typical sign of failure. Seriously.. I came back and then ordered the chicken flauntas to go. Still confusing ordering online a taco and nothing asking for what meat?? Anyway I got rice and beans were excellent, 3 big chicken flauntas. They had flavor but were dry. No sauce packets provided. Toppings super fresh but kind of eat them separately. Id say this to the owners, have you tried your food lately??”

“Great sandwiches just have gotten so pricey, but other places have also...7 Sandwiches with 2 being kids....still over 70 dollars. One would think sandwiches would not be 10 plus a person.”

“Had the fish and chips finally. After years of those amazing buffalo burgers I decided it was time to explore the menu. The fish and chips turned out to be a good option. There's a press that they actually had malt vinegar. That's a good job guys. Joel's a rockstar. Keep it going. Do good things”

“Ordered a 2-meat plate, takeout: sliced & chopped beef. At home, I found out it was up to me to ask for a second tub of sauce. One slice of Texas-style, white bread straight from the plastic sleeve.Beans are done to a soft goodness with meat bits.Slaw has a cheese color dressing (tho I don't find a texture of cheese). There is a definite jalapeno fire/bite.German Potato Salad has a vinegar-based dressing.Meat is slightly pungent with spices to my taste buds. Is there a clue to determine the process is a rub versus mop sauce? Bread pudding. Sweet tea. The review: tea was bitter; lean on sugar. The awesome bread pudding could have shared some of it's sugar with the tea. I grew up in the early days of Dairy Queen chicken fried steak and gravy. Texas bread has to be buttered & toasted to either make an unbendable sandwich or to shovel gravy (sopping sauce on a BBQ plate, in this case). By finish, my taste buds were worn by the bite in the tea, the jalapeno slaw, the vinegar potato salad, and the meat's spice undertone. FYI, this was a first visit. A second visit might give different results. I would definitely like a second visit. Window service was excellent. Different food selections might mean that 5th star can be found inside that Airstream.”

“Good food, friendly service, and a pretty good Margarita! It's local, so don't expect the type of atmosphere you get in a national chain restaurant. I personally view this as a plus. I will be making this a regular stop when I want Mexican food in town.”

“We stopped for lunch on our way home from Oklahoma because it was my daughter's birthday and she got to pick. She is all about deals and she had a reward for a free dessert for her birthday. My wife and I hadn't been in years to any Chili's. (The one near where we live is so loud that we can't have a conversation and there's very little on the menu that's healthy AND good.) My wife had the Southwestern Egg Rolls which has always been her favorite. I asked her if they were as good as she remembered and she said they were. I had a Santa Fe Chicken Salad because it was somewhat healthy. It was good. (Not as good as something fried but hey, you gotta do what you can do.) My daughter had a Presidential Margarita (to celebrate her birthday) and then the lunch combo of the Chicken Enchilada Soup and a half Bacon Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The soup had some body to it and had real pieces of chicken. And the "half" sandwich was huge. Both items looked delicious, and my daughter vouched for that. After we finished eating, we had to get the manager over to help us with redeeming the "reward" for the dessert. She was as nice as she could be and quickly got it ordered and taken off the bill. My wife and daughter shared the Molten Chocolate Cake. They ate every bite so that pretty much speaks for itself. We had to wait a bit when we entered to get someone to come to the front and seat us and we saw others experience that as well. They weren't that busy, but it looked like they needed one more server. Other than that, we had a great time, the food was good and the folks there were nice. And I thought for all that we got the prices were reasonable. (~50 before tip and that includes the Presidential Margarita) It was much quieter and more laid back than the Chili's near our home. There still aren't a lot of "healthy" options but we were able to have a conversation without yelling across the table. All in all, a good experience and a nice birthday lunch with our daughter.”

“I am so glad we ignored the low rating and came here to eat.We had excellent service. Our alcoholic drinks were good and cold.My husband said it was one of the best cuts of meat he had ever had. He had the 10 oz center cut. He eats his steak blue so the cut of meat is important.By hearing the other customers talk and order I wonder if some of the bad reviews are due to people not eating the food as it was intended. If you want a plain hamburger with ketchup go to McDonalds. If you don’t know what an aioli is, ask and try it.This is a higher end restaurant, not a greasy spoon cafe.”
